Ah, I dunno, don't have a good feeling about today. Probably related to the fact that I'm in charge of a banquet tonight, have decided that most women, when in a formal group setting, can be real bitches (my hubby laughs when we go to parties and I'm the only female in the group of guys talking sports), and can't wait for tonight to be over. Well, 5:30 is looking pretty good. I have to be there to set up and the first words out of my mouth will be to the barkeep asking "what top-shelf Bourbons do you have?" I'm thinking the taste buds and wallet would agree on Eagle Rare. Any other suggestions? The way today is going cost won't come into play at all an hour from now... Sorry 'bout the TMI.

Oh yeah, Go Tribe! Game still on at 6:30 I'll have Live Score showing me play by play on my phone.

Anderson doesn't need help getting outs so if we could take some pitches and make him work that would be great

4 pitches and 2 outs is gash

Anderson's last outing:

IP H R ER BB SO
5.0 9 7 7 4 3

Ain't no way these A's come back in that kind of game.

Also, a lefty but Hafner in there...

EDIT: Not a bourbon expert but Jim Beam is definitely my fave.

Why didn't Hannahan just tag the runner?

Outside of too many ball 1's from Gomez, he pitched well that inning. Defense needs to help him out.

Promising inning for Jeanmar
having problems putting guys away when he's ahead 0-2 though. And when that is to Oakland hitters then it's a problem.

A bit perplexed as to why they want to take LaPorta out of the lineup during his hot stretch and against a left hander

It might only take 1 mistake from either pitcher to take this game

A solo jack could do it

OCab's had two good ABs with nothing to show for them. Guess he'll put the first pitch in play next time.

Oh dear! Well to be fair you don't expect that as a base runner in that situation but still... should be paying attention

I don't think it was a bad play necessarily. The result was awful, but you expect the second baseman to go to first with that and it looked like Hafner was going to beat it out, so going for the run would have been a good play.

I just wish he was looking at Ellis as he was sprinting around 3rd. Don't just run with your head down in that situation. I like the attempt, but you have to look up so you can go back if you see Ellis coming home.

Yeah, looked at first not Ellis. I like sprinting around 3rd, but have to look at the fielder so you can get back.
