Tomlin has been amazing. I can't believe David fucking DeJesus is responsible for the only hits/runs of the game for Oakland and solely, 100% because of him, the Indians are losing. Makes me want to throw up. Game isn't over yet though. This team has penchant for coming up big late, especially in the last week. Hopefully that will continue tonight after Cahill gets out of the game because most of the Indians hitters have had some terrible at bats tonight.

He's facing a pathetic A's lineup so there's hope he will pitch OK.

However Anderson has a 0.75 ERA in 12 career innings against the Indians with 15Ks.
So I don't think any of our starters could get us a win today.

We have to win on Friday because it's Weaver and Haren on the weekend.

By all accounts, Tomlin pitched very well, except for 2 pitches. Not a whole lot to complain about.

I was a good streak, but it couldn't last forever. Get them tomorrow.

I don't know if it's pressure situations or just last night. He had no patience, none what so ever. I think he swung at every first pitch. If he had been a little more selective, taking maybe 2-3 more pitches per at-bat, the Indians might have gotten Cahill out of the game after 6 innings instead of 7. He was over 100 pitches after 6 and then had an easy 7th. The rest of the team did well in working the count but Grady was playing like he had dinner reservations.

If he had been a little more selective, taking maybe 2-3 more pitches per at-bat, the Indians might have gotten Cahill out of the game after 6 innings instead of 7. He was over 100 pitches after 6 and then had an easy 7th. The rest of the team did well in working the count but Grady was playing like he had dinner reservations.

Not saying Grady didn't do that, but the entire rest of the team was certainly not working the count much better. How else would Cahill have had 89 pitches in the 5th then lasted 2 more innings. Grady wasn't up every at bat.

In the 5th, Grady put the 2nd pitch in play, Asdrubal the 1st. In the 6th, OCab grounded out on the 2nd pitch, Brantley singled on the 2nd. In the 7th, Hannahan grounded out in 3, Grady a 5-pitch K, then Droobs grounded out in 3.

Not exactly fair singling out anyone but Choo (in a good way as far as working count) from last night. Last night's pitches/PA:

Choo - 6.75

Haf - 4.25

Rebel was talking about # of pitches like Grady saw a lot less pitches than everyone else. So I gave the # of pitches stat to show that wasn't really the case. Plain and simple.
