According to the official Indians twitter feed: -

"Carlos Carrasco felt better today but did not throw his bullpen. Indians are now TBD for Saturday. CC hopes to throw pen this weekend"

Not quite as grim as the Yahoo story.

If Carrasco does indeed hit the DL, Huff isn't option.

Barring a rainout between now and then we'll need a starter for Sat and Huff would be on 3 days rest then.

As much as we'd all love to see Alex White my guess is it'll be Corey Kluber or Zach McAllister. If I had to pick one, I'd go with McAllister.

I'm surprised they let Huff go 7 innings last night, knowing they might need a starter on Saturday. Unless he's no longer in their plans at all and they weren't going to bring him up even if he was rested.

What happened to Sowers?

And isnt Jason Davis still in extended ST?

Acta said in his presser that he's gonna announce the call-up via tweet. Don't think he's following the Huffer.

White lines up on regular rest. But they'd have to make a corresponding 40-man move. Not saying it isn't possible, but other things would have to happen.

Pay attention to the Clippers rotation and roster this week. If someone gets skipped, there's your starter. If you hear that Valbuena or someone is put on waviers to remove them from the 40-man, White is your starter.

Kluber has been all over the place with his walks, McAllister has been a little better but hardly dominant. Sleeper pick that I haven't heard mentioned at all...Kelvin de la Cruz. Pure speculation, and I don't think it will happen, but he's on the 40-man and has been pitching well for Akron this year.

Shit! That sucks that JD is gone.

Well atleast I still have BP, Guthrie, Branyan and Gutierrez.

With the day off, they don't need a 5th starter until the weekend. Probably see Herrmann or a UIF/UOF for the time being.

I guess Carrasco would be on a 60-75 pitch limit and throw tomorrow then. That would be four days rest. I wouldn't want him to sit for a week without pitching.

Probably to make room for Milton Bradley on the roster. :hide:

Or Carrasco's starting Wednesday...against David Price.
