A lot of this team's success is predicated on Sipp's ability to be the eighth-inning guy. This is not good. Not good t'all.

I remember last year he was good early on but then the wheels fell off right around the time they played the skankees and then he found it again.

Maybe that is his pattern

Clippers could use Tony Sipp for their 8th inning guy. Sorry British P. Just too Riske to keep Sippy for the setup guy

His problem is walks, doesn't give up many hits at all. He's better than David Riske (who remember was lights out as a setup man so don't take the piss too much even for his latter season sins.)

Vinnie Pesto is challenging for the rights to the 8th inning

Man, if I were a Royals fan and saw them down by 4 in the 8th with the bases loaded and Butler and Francoeur coming up- only see the inning play out that way? Man I'd be soooo grumpy.

My lineup right now would be:

Brantley (.379 OBP)
A. Cabrera
Sizemore (Ted Williams only with more speed)
Pronk (.348/.974 and experience in the 4-hole)
Choo (starting to hit)
LaPorta
Santana
O. Cab .664 OPS
Mannahan (Lonny who?)

Grady just drilled one over the center field wall off a lefty. Holy shit! Put him in the 3-hole.

I'd put O-Cab 5th just to break up the lefties but other than that...good shout

Perez just doesn't look the same. He's not dominating. Good move by Acta to bring him in with a seven run lead to let him get back on the horse, but it's not working out. Let's see what he can do against Gordon and Butler.

Choo bails him out. Who was saying all he has out there is his arm?

Great win but Sipp and C. Perez have been very shaky lately. We can't count on Hannahan to jack two out every game. Thank God for my cousin Vinnie.

Probably 75-100 of us who left the Monsters game came over and stood by the gates and they wouldn't let us in. It was the top of the 8th. We were probably louder than the 9600 in the ballpark. Got there just in time to see (mostly hear Hammy) Sipp's failure and then Pestano cleaning it up.

Anybody have Hannahan pegged for .286 4 11 on April 26? Me neither.

I don't expect Hannahan to hit .280 the rest of the way, but if he can keep his average in the .240-.250 range with great defense, I'd let him play there all year long. We'll see how it goes after the season starts to really grind down guy that aren't used to playing all the time. I could see his average in the .240 or lower zone by the All-Star break.

Donald's injury cost him the look-see at 3B. That ship may have sailed.
