absolutely!!! i was at the game saturday, sitting thru a 2-hour rain delay and colder than shit, but when they scored 6 runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings, it got all warm and fuzzy inside real quick. love watching the tribe win!!! looking good so far tonite too. just went ahead 7-2 going into the bottom of the 9th. come on tribe, bring it on home!!!

Strange. Every game now I have a feeling the Tribe is going to win. Either by the bats or by their pitching with a great bullpen. Haven't felt that feeling in 4 years.

My brother has had season tickets since 1981 for the Tribe and I fly in for a few games a year.

i concur on both points!!! furthermore, i am all for expanded use of instant replay too. i want as much of the human element taken out of the game as they can. i want them to get the calls all right as much as possible and to heck with the umpires and their union. they can all go pound salt as far as i care. they are more a detriment to the game now than ever before because they are just getting older and fatter and blinder and stupider. hee-hee!!!

No, Progressive didn't pay me anything. But that's not really my point. My point is that Progressive is a big corporation that is based in Cleveland. When a lot of other corps have left, or would never come here, they continue to do business here and employ Clevelanders. I feel like it's a good thing to support that, even if I was used to the old name and have a lot of wonderful memories associated with the Jake.

It's no big deal. I just want to support business that continues to make Cleveland better. If one of those businesses shells out bucks to put their name on it, that's what I'll call it. Not because they owe me anything or I owe them anything.

So, for me, it's the Prog or Progressive Field for the next 10 years or whatever until Gilbert buys the rights. Then I'll call it Quicken Loans Park or LPD Field or whatever the hell he wants me to call it.

YMMV. It's no biggy.

I called it Jake for a while after Prog ponied up. I thought, that Progressive Park, just came off the tongue so much more smoothly than Progressive Field, and hated the name change, but I have got used to it, and only call it the Jake about half the time now.

Watched till the last out, and was getting a bit nervous. When Francouer launched it deep, I was thinking, Fuck me. I always think about that game in 2001, when we came back very late. It happens, although it is rare, the fact it happens always brings the Cleveland fan out of me.

Sipp has me worried a bit. His last couple outings before this one, he struggled getting his breaking stuff over, but last night, I would attribute some of it to that damn keyhole strike zone umpire, who will always be called Blind Joe West by me, from here out. I thought they had an agreement in place to weed out umpires who are obviously inadequate. He must go way back with Bud.

Trying to get my boys to enjoy this run, for they are easy to take for granted when you are a young fan. I know, I did with the Browns back in the 80's and now that mountain top is barely visible when I look back for it. My oldest who is 15 is becoming a diehard freak with the Browns and Tribe. It is a wonderful thing, having a son love something as much as I do, and be able to spend evenings together sharing it. A Mommas boy he is no more.
