Wasn't Pino highly thought of just a few years ago? Man, our depth is spectacular.

Kind of a testament to the strength of pitching in the organization. 2-3 years ago a guy like Pino was the #2 or #3 starter in Triple-A for us and our 3rd or 4th option as starting pitching depth for the big league team. Now? He can barely crack the AAA staff and relegated to reserve status and mop up duty and dumped for a minor cash deal.

The pitching depth and talent in the organization from Cleveland all the way to Low-A Lake County is impressive. As an AL scout recently commented, "they are not just loaded with pitching, they are pitching rich." Let's hope it pans out for once.

The article stated that he was actually pitching out of the pen in AA. Never a good thing for a 27 year old minor league journeyman.

That comment from the scout about being pitching rich gives me a stiffy. Viagra has met its match. Brings back memories of ole petey hollering about pitching all the time. He would of been pleased with the status of the current depth of pitching.
