Considering that it's a day game, the weather will be clearing up later and that Baltimore doesn't come here again, I'd say it's a safe bet that they will get it in today. Just a hunch though.

Possibly but I think that we still play today. The forecast looks too clear after this storm not to play.

I want to see the centerfielders dive for a ball and slip across the outfield like a Slip N' Slide.

The left fielders need some waders on the warning track. I've never seen the outfield this wet at the Jake since it has opened.

Buster Posey hasn't played as long as Todd Hundley. So we don't know if he's as good as Todd Hundley.

I never argued and have no idea what you are taking issue with. It was even said on here that Santana should have been like #33ish in Pos' top players article.

Those takes were made obscenely early. That is my point. What is the argument? We jumped to crown him a titan and did so on blind faith. He has the talent to get there, but those takes were just as silly as your argument here.

Better than your take, which is: I have no opinion. I'll just call out others because I don't have a stance on Carlos Santana.

You're the one who came on here crowing how you called that Posey was better than Santana based on 22 at-bats.

They're both phenomenal hitters. To try to crow about who will be better right now just annoys me.

FWIW: Posey has only 5 more hits than Santana this year. (But, because it's so early, that's a hundred point difference in batting average.)

Just ask JB to start calling Santana "C-Kuip." He'll be fine.

Holy fuck are you just being obtuse or stupid?

My point is that after one game this year Santana was proclaimed a golden god and now he is struggling. It's foolish to take such small sample sizes and proclaim a player one of that top 35 players in the MLB. Posey proved something last year and sure as fuck could fall apart, but right now he is clearly the real deal. Santana is a giant, hopefully he gets it together (and he should).

I can't explain any clearer how stupid it is to proclaim minor leaguers that have done nothing in the pros great before they have done anything. Posey at least has a track record of sorts at this point and has met every expectation. Santana hasn't done anything yet.

I'm done with this because I don't even understand what point you are making.

Your take is "good for them, they had an opinion!"

He may end up a top end 3rd basemen, but he wasn't for how long?

A possible argument exists that Santana is in the same ballpark as Posey /= conclusive evidence Santana is better than Posey.

I am going to ahead and say you're both wrong and obstuse for even arguing this point. Posey has played in 69 more games in his career and accumulated about 300 more at bats. Techinically, you're right EY that Posey has put up better numbers (not by a long shot with Santana's season being cut short last year)but to make the comparison is short-sited and mind-numbingly pointless. Posey and Santana are basically equals in terms of fielding at the C position, but I'd say Santana needs a little more time in terms of calling a ballgame (again sample size). Lets talk about this when the year is over and they have comparable sample sizes in terms of plate appearences and games. Equally one of the most fruitless back and forth banters I've read here in terms of comparing young players. ::doh::
