Damn, people need to settle down. Borowski blew his FIRST Save tonight, 1 measly save; and guess what: WE STILL WON.

Unlike the games with Wickman coming in, I feel confidence in Borwoski. I don't have heart attacks either.

Last year this team had like a total of 18 saves; we are almost halfway there just 18 games into the season...

If Borowski fails for whatever reason, I can assure you our best pitcher out there, Cabrera, will be the closer....

I do think Cabrera will be signed long term in the coming years for the closing position.

technically yea it was his first blown save

but blowing a 4 run lead with 2 outs and no one on is worse ;)

He has electric stuff.

This should be our primary BP rotation in the very near future:

7th: Betancourt

8th: Nasty Mastny

9th: F-Cab

Davis as the long man, Fultz as the LOOGY, and Oldberto and Borowski getting in where they fit in.

F-Cab can do for us what K-Rod did for Anaheim in '02. He's been filthy since about last August or so.

No.

And, while I am here, I like Cabrera as an 8th inning guy. I still question his true closing ability, although he hasn't really had a chance. In any case, I see K-brera as the 8th inning setup guy we have been looking for.

Betancourt can't pitch back to back days, and he's been shaky as a closer in the past. He's not our answer, though he's fine in the 7th or 8th.

Cabrera could eventually be the guy. I'd like to see him get worked later and later into the game, to see what exactly he can handle, as long as you don't just rush him into a setup role right away. Ease him into the role. Borowski and Hernandez are alright where they're at right now, no need to rush him.

Also, slightly off this topic, several other pitchers blew saves tonight, other than Borowski, including:

All-time saves leader Trevor Hoffman
Former Tribe closer Bob Wickman (he blew a 3-run lead in the 9th, throwing a wild pitch with the bases loaded and 2 outs to end it)
Whoever the Pirates closer is
