It's really early, but Choo is tearing it up in Buffalo after 5 games. OPS of 1.171? If Nixon, Michaels, or both have any trade value I'd keep a close eye on Choo because he might be on the fast track back up to Cleveland.

I guess I should have mentioned his 2 stolen bases as well, and he is perfect in that regard (no CS yet).

Keith Ginter is off to a hot start, which is good in case Marte struggles or gets hurt (although you know if that happens it'll be Blake at 3rd).

I don't forsee Ginter seeing time here. For many reasons, but mostly he is not rostered.

Anyway, Choo has an excellent attitude going to Buffalo, and he knows what he needs to work on. Still needs work on fundamentals though like route running in the OF and base-running.

and more power please. That's my biggest concern with him. He's never dinged more than 15 in a season. Maybe that's not his game, but if we do believe he could be a potential RF starter then I'd rather not have a power drain over there, especially if Crowe is legit and does come up as the LFer. He did hit 13 in the PCL last year and that might be encouraging. I seem to recall that the PCL tends to favor pitchers more heavily.

Game one of today's Buffalo doubleheader, Adam Miller pitched a 7-inning complete game victory, and Choo went 1 for 2 to bring his average up to .438

Great job by Miller, who is this year's Sowers, and Choo, as an everyday player, looks like he is going to tear it up in AAA this year until he gets called back up.

I'm on the Choo bandwagon!

Snyder is probably the closest thing to a power bat as far as outfielders go. I would wait for the Consig to be sure though.

Snyder, Goleski, and Barton are probably the best OFs in the org with some power. Snyder's K-rate continues to be alarming. Goleski might have the best power potential of the three, but he needs to get over his return to the Tribe. Barton's not overly powerful, but he has shown the ability to post an excellent OBP, steal 30-40 bases, and hit 20+ dingers in a season or thereabouts.

Drennen might supplant them all in the near future as prospects.

snyder has no future with the indians. he is going on 25 and soo many people rank ahead of him for the corner outfield spot like gutierrez, choo, crowe, etc.

goleski has good power but i think he will be traded soon

Yeah, Snyder is fading quickly....make or break year for him, and his K-rate to date this season in a short sample size has been horrendous (10 Ks in 20 ABs).

The best power hitter in the system is Goleski. There really is noone else close.

In fact, the system is loaded with just good guys, not great, who will hit around .300 with 20-25 HRs tops. No real elite hitters like a Hafner or Sizemore. There are guys in the lower levels who look promising, but until these guys get to Double-A it is hard to get overly excited about them (but still fun to watch them fail/succeed).

The catcher McBride might be the next great hitting prospect, but still tough to project being he is still in Low-A. Possibly even Rivero.
