Man, not sharp tonight. He is all over the place. Tough to judge him tonight on this performance after being on ice so long......

Guy has unbelievable stuff, and always had good control in the minors.....but tonight, not being to throw his breaking ball for a strike is killing him not to mention his fastball is running all over the place.

I don't know why, but Carmona gets me so excited with his potential. When he was setting Wickman up last year, he was completely dominant.

What strikes me about Carmona is that he has those stretches when he just overpowers hitters (Dye whiffing on 3 pitches).

Remember, he's 6 months younger than Sowers and a year older than Atom Miller.

This guy is a late inning reliever if I've ever seen one. And the Westbrook extension should cement that decision as soon as Cliffie comes back.

Harness that talent into 15-20 pitches 3 nights a week.

You may be right about Fausto.

Give me Cabrera and Carmona in some late inning spots and see what we've got.

Those are your 7th and 8th inning guys in September IMO ...

Good Lord was Cabrera impressive tonight.

And, I too think that now that Carmona is in the fold and we have tons of starting pitching options in the minors soon at our disposal, that Carmona may be best suited for a late inning role.

A bit premature for that.

But, if he can't keep his composure and work on his command, yeah, in 2-3 years he'll be Jason Davis Part II.
