Jason Davis needs to go away. I'm sooo tired of waiting on this guy to put it all together.

Yeah, I am not a big JD fan. Time to let him go already, and give that spot to one of Mujica/Lara/Perez if they cannot find a solution in the trade market.

Agreed.

If Wedge is afraid to use him, then quick to pull him (and rightfully so on both counts), how long can he occupy a spot that a potentially effective reliever could take?

Enough about "potential" and "stuff" and "electric". How do "ineffective" and "eminintly hittable" and "useless" strike you?

Has there been a more maddening Indians player in the Jacobs Field era?

I'm telling you right now, we're going to eventually cut bait on this perpetual tease (and rightly so), and he's going to go somewhere else and be very good.

Classic Buff on the matter in today's B-List:

Jason Davis … is not good. I’m sorry, small sample size, one outing, phase of the moon, I don’t care any more. Jason Davis is monkey chow. I hate watching Jason Davis pitch.

I don't know about "more," but I'd put him in the same class as:

Danys Baez
Russ Branyan
Richie Sexson
David Riske
Eric Plunk

But then, I had a soft spot for Paul Rigdon, so I'm not necessarily the Voice of Reason here.

By the way, his delivery looks COMPLETELY different this year. He has this new stop-and-go delivery that just infuriated me more and more last night.

And does he just completely crumble the moment someone gets on or am I just seeing flashes as my blood pressure rises?

A great experiment would be to have Jason Davis face Casey Blake with a runner in scoring position and two outs. I think the universe might spontaneously collapse in on itself.

Or Casey would just keep swinging at Ball 4 in an attempt to strike out as JD's pitches worked their way further and further out of the strike zone.

thats hilarious!
I think so too.
Only difference is that Blake is a solid ballplayer... Davis should be released already.
