I can't say I blame him, but that's a pretty low way to try and avoid a loss.

They have no business even playing today

What an unbelievable home opener. Can't blame Hargrove for trying to protect his players, it seemed pretty obvious the batters were struggling to pick up the ball. Also, the risk for injury would be even greater after another delay. We've already lost VM for who knows how long.

So, with the game being PPD, does that mean they pick it up from where they left off? Or do they play a whole new game?

THey START ALL OVER. What a waste today was. Plus, we lost our catcher for probably a month.

That's what i thought. That sucks. I wish they wouldn't have even tried to play it. Vic goes down, and the Tribe doesn't even get a win out of it. Oh, BTW, i used to like Grover. Now any more. I know he was just doing his job, but it pissed me off.

Saturday's forecast: Snow showers. Additional snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches. Cold with highs in the lower 30s. Blustery west winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of snow 90 percent.

Since this is Seattle's only trip to C-town this season, (who made up that schedule) I'm sure they will do all they can do to play. But it sounds like it will be a challenge.

From yahoo: During the delay in the second, a fan ran onto the field and left a snow angel in right-center before being arrested... LOL

This scheduling thing is a debacle.

What jackass decided to have Anaheim and Seattle come to Cleveland the first week of April....then have us go to Anaheim in May and Seattle at the end of Sept? Good Lord.

And, this carries over to the minors. Buffalo's first two games were snowed out (no surprise). But, the kicker is they opened against the Richmond Braves in Buffalo. Hmm, let's see....average temp of 40 degrees in early April and lake effect snow in Buffalo....vs. average temp og 60 degrees and sun in Richmond, VA.

The Indians should open on the road for a 10-game trip on the WC every year.

You really think The Stick is out for a month?!?

If that's the case, somebody needs to be held responsible for the Tribe playing today's game.

I just thawed out.

Craziness down at the Jake tonight. Absolutely amazing what that home plate ump let Grover do. And all for naught, a redo tomorrow at 1 PM. As soon as they called it, the snow stopped.

Vics hammie didn't look good, hope hes OK.

Paul Byrd was one pitch away from the shittiest no hitter in baseball history.

Fight is right. This game should have never started. Also, what a mess Major League Baseball is. This scheduling situation is just ridiculous, especially when you consider that money isn't really as big of an issue as several years back. Tampa Bay AT New York. Tampa Bay AT New York. Christ.

The worst part is tomorrow's weather is gonna be no better. Does Hargrove think he's doing his guys a favor by forcing a DH on saturday???

Not going out and getting that RH stick is really going to show now.
Don't like Blake in the 5 hole? How about him in the 4 hole?
If Vic goes on the DL, we will all see where $15m in Dolan's pocket will hurt this club.

Unless Wedge is an even bigger idiot than I think he is (and I don't see how that's possible), he'll put Garko into the everyday lineup hitting fourth once Vic goes onto the DL.

Both games postponed today.

Traditional double header tomorrow.

Laughable.

It is a JOKE that Seattle and Anaheim are here in April! We should be THERE!
