So does Wedge go panic mode and replace Garko/Michaels with Delucci/Nixon and deplete his bench the first time one comes up?

Since he hasn't been replacing Nixon or Dellucci when left-handed relievers come in, I'd say when in doubt, the answer is "inertia."

(In this case, I agree with inertia.)

And inertia works. Michaels homers! Congratulations Buff, you win the prize. You get to do the B-List for today's game!

Fairly incredible: if I tell you that Sizemore, Hafner, Vic, and Michaels get to bat but only 1 gets a hit, how many are picking Michaels? If I specify it has to be a homer, is anyone picking Michaels?

Is there significant wind today?

Michaels homers

Should be enough evidence to answer your wind question.

Wind is blowing our 23 MPH.

Although, according to Hammy and Hegan, that was a BOMB by Michaels and did not need wind.

Also, an interesting factoid....by Sizemore homering today, it is the FIRST TIME in INDIANS HISTORY a player has homered in the first three games of the season. That is impressive. I mean, we are talking, what 107 seasons and it has never happened?

Sox must be stealing our signs.

How else do you explain them pitching out with Blake on 1st and no outs. Blake almost never runs, and we never run period. Blake was out by a mile.

i've watched all 3 games on the tube and am very impressed with Barfield and the way he hits...everything he hits is solid off the bat...he takes pitches and lines them the other way but all of them seem to be right at someone

Wow, clutch game so far by Michaels.

And Victor guns down Pods for the 2nd day in a row. Knock on wood.

And, once again, Blake up in a key spot. Man in scoring position and two out in the 8th....

Gotta give Buffum his due...

After reading the B-List today and his rant on Casey Blake's "abilities" with 2 outs and runners in scoring position, here I stumble upon the webcast in the 8th, and Casey's up to bat with 2 out and Michaels on 2nd.

Ground out.

Go figure.

Dellucci walks

Do you let Rouse hit for either Peralta or Barfield (as a lefty against Jenks)?

Edit: Peralta can't bunt. Who knew?! (Hint: me.)

Quality at bat there by Peralta. Don't ask him to ever bunt again.

Ugh. That was not a pretty inning. We blew a chance to get a sweep.

We lost 3-2, without Chicago ever getting an RBI hit.

Sox must be stealing our signs.

That was the 3rd or 4th time in this series the Indians had something on for the first pitch after a lead off single.

Really?

I listened to the majority of the first three on the radio while working, missing those nuances.

If so, that's disheartening. But not surprising.
