Note: I said this about Gil Mota last season. Bullpen impressions tend to be very visceral.

But I like what I've seen so far.

I like Robo, and think he was an under-rated FA signing. Everyone points to his age, but his last 2-3 years have been among the best in his career, if not his best. I like the Raffy/Robo combo late in the 7th/8th innings, although still feel we need one more guy to enter into the 7th/8th inning mix. Hopefully that is one of Davis, Mastny, or Cabrera. But, remains to be seen.

While I am here, I still am skeptical on Fultz. I think he gets the Scott Stewart/Scott Sauersuck treatment by June, and we make a trade for a legit lefty or Perez/Lara become the guy. I still maintain that Perez is the guy....just give him a chance.

Yes. Not getting them out is much more appaling to me, but getting them out should not be looked upon as some great accomplishment. Get Thome, Konerko and Dye and we will talk.

Borowski struck out Thome and Dye. He walked Konerko, but got Crede, which Jake couldn't when it mattered. I guess that's your man.

But I still feel more confident with Hernandez on the mound than Borowski.

I saw him close in Tampa Bay. You wouldn't feel so comfortable with him in the ninth.

Why are you trotting this guy out there three in a row, though? Isn't durability a question? Isn't Mastny available? Or did his massive NINE-pitch inning render him unconscious?

With how good Mastnys looked, how old Oldberto is, and the fact he pitched the 1st two games ... it's a valid second guess.

Buff, this is classic Wedge. He has "his guys". He'll never try anything different or innovative in a key part of the game. Put another way, get used to seeing Oldberto in the 8th until he's lost us 3-4 games. And Casey Blake in the 5 hole? We may have to suffer through that shit all year.

Guillen, OTOH, is a feel guy. We saw that this series.

It's going to take Ferd 6 weeks of stellar pitching before he even sniffs the 8th/9th inning of a tight game.

And through that whole time, Wedge will continue to throw Oldberto to the wolves, even if he's struggling.

Bailed out by Fultz and Betancourt. This guy just doesn't have it right now.

He came in, I went and took a leak. When I got back the bases were loaded. Wedge looked scared out of his mind walking out there to get a guy 6 years older than him.

11 balls. 4 strikes.

Buff's not going to be happy with his boy Oldberto tomorrow.

I have to ask....WTF was he in there for? 4 games.....4 appearances. Is Wedge in some sort of conspiracy with Oldberto where Wedge gets 30% of the take home on an incentive for games pitches? Jesus.

If you ain't going to use Jason Davis or Ferd Cabrera up by 4 late, why are they here?

Roberto Hernandez's last two appearances have not gone well. He hit Chicago's A.J. Pierzynski with a pitch to force home the winning run in the ninth inning on April 5.

Tuesday night he loaded the bases in the eighth and had to be relieved.

"We've never been quick to judge here," said Wedge. "Until we get some regular work in, we're going to give it time."

Hernandez has appeared in the Tribe's first four games.

I second that.

Dump Hernandez and call up Mujica. We could use his .40 WHIP, his 0.00 ERA, and his 10.8 K/9. May not totally translate to the Bigs, but I think Mujica is ready to be a MLB bullpen pitcher and a good one.
