By the way, STO needs to dump their new on-screen graphic showing the score, count, etc. That is HORRIBLE. Takes up the top left 1/4 of the screen.

2-0. Four straight hits to start the season. Still the 1st inning and no one out, 2 guys on and rally killer Blake is up.

Wow. That was some nice hitting by Peralta. 0-2 count with 2 out and 2 on, and he cuts down on the swing and slaps it to RF for the RBI single.

In my other fantasy team, I have Sizemore, Hafner, and Victor. That was a good way to start the season.

Luckily, I don't have CC

Ball is FLYING out of the ballpark. Thome and Dye hit routine fly balls that end up to the warning track.

Unfortunately for me this series is in Chicago so I get the crappy Comcast broadcast. Ya'll up there probably haven't seen the ChiSox broadcasts, but their game callers are the worst I have ever heard in all of baseball. They are horrible homers who rarely know much of anything about the opposing team and always refer to their competitors as "the bad guys" - never using the true name of the team they are playing.

After Konerko made it 11-3 in favor of the Tribe it sounded like these guys were doing a jig. They even went so far as to say that the Sox weren't doing "that bad" today, giving no credit to Tribe hitters for being all over them.

I've watched games broadcast by the home crews for every MLB team that I can think of (one of the benefits of Extra Innings) over the past few years and none come close to being as bad as these bozos. I hate the Yankees, but their broadcasters are professional, know the opponent, and have no problem complimenting the opposing team when they deserve it. The White Sox, IMHO, are trash from top-to-bottom in their organization.

Don't worry -- most of us have heard the White Sox announcers; lots of cable systems up here get WGN.

I think you were too nice to them.

Break up the Royals! How about the friggin Royals beating up Schilling and the Red Sux.

If only the Devil Rays could have beaten the Yankees...then it would have been a perfect opening day for me.

Just responded to your other post, then read your post on here about the graphic. Glad I am not the only one. I thought Hafner was decapitated in the offseason.
I would imagine they are going to hear from a lot of people and change that.

I don't see the Royals being in the race in the Central, but I do think they will be much better than last year. The finished the last month and a half near .500 and have brought in help via free agency. I expect them to still have a losing record, but I don't think they'll lose 100 this year. I think every team in the AL Central will win 70+ games this year. If the elderly White Sox rotation follows Contreras' lead at all today then the White Sox might have to deal with the threat of the Royals passing them by.

The AL Central really is loaded.
