I think the date has already passed because the Twins placed someone on the 60 day DL right as camp was opening in order to make a roster signing.

Are you saying the team played bad the 1st 4 months because of Pronk, Jake, Fausto & Vic?
Have you looked at the contributions of those 4 players during the good stretch run over the last 2 months of the season? If not, perhaps you should before you make such a post.
Wedge piloted the ship from opening day until the last game. Not sure why most Tribe fans credit him with the last 2 months & give him a free pass on the 1st 4, but that's their perogative.

Shapiro has stated that he wants the team to be competitive each year in order to make the playoffs as much as possible, in order to eventually win a title. Disagree if you want, but you have to admit it's reasonable.

I only did so because so many posters praise Wedge for the team play over the final 2 months.
All I'm saying is if they want to praise him for those 2 months, why not hold him accountable for the train wreck from April thru July?
Also, we'll disagree on his bullpen management early on last season. I think 29 other managers would not have had Borowski attempting to close out games when his fastball was topping out at 82 MPH.

Reasonable? It sounds good.
So far, he's batting at a .143 clip as far as making the playoffs.

"they" ran him out there? "they" were idiots?
I only see 1 guy making calls to the bullpen, unless you think he's merely a puppet who moves only when Shapiro pulls his strings.

As I understand it from September to the start of the season there is no 25 man roster only a 40 man roster.MadThinker88 wrote:Eckersley wrote:Tony, when can teams officially place injured guys on the DL?

The Indians would have liked David Huff to stay in the mix for a starting spot in the rotation, but didn't want him taking any chances with the bicep tendinitis that bothered him early in camp. He is fine and pitching, but he does have a history of some arm problems as he missed the final three months of 2007. He will let him open at Class AAA Columbus.
Huff has only 214 pro innings, so he can use the experience.
