The Dutch holding the DR 0-0 mid 4th in an elimination game tonight..... I have no Dutch in me whatsoever, other than insisting my girlfriend pays for half of everything (is it just in the UK that splitting the bill has the slang name "going Dutch"?), but I'm really pulling for the Netherlands to win this one!

Ubaldo Jimenez with 10Ks (WBC record) through 4IP against the dutch.

Jimenez has a filthy, filthy fastball/curve combo..... I was a big fan of his at the tail end of 2007.... if he pitched anywhere other than Colorado he'd be a lot higher thought of.

I never give a guy too much shit for trying, but that was a costly mistake by the Dutch RF. And he laid on the ground after the ball got by him. Another good game for the WBC.

why do like most of these games have to be on MLB network? i would've liked to see US's walk-off win and immediate dogpile live. i thought ESPN was doing most of the games, but the 3 best moments of the WBC so far have all been on the MLB network (Netherlands/DR I & II, and U.S./PR II) i really wish i had MLB tv...

Man, I completely forgot about the USA/PR game last night! Pissed I missed it. Between the CSU-Butler game last week, this game last night and the Cavs/Magic game as well, just not alot of time these days.

Anyway, I think this WBC thing is starting to catch on. It is vastly improved since the first go around, at least that is my perception. And interest is starting to grow. Next time around they really need to come up with a great marketing campaign and go balls to the wall with it. The marketing aspect is something they appear to be missing out on so far....as the games themselves have been mostly good to great. This is as close as we can come to a Baseball World Cup, and I for one LOVE IT.

it is catching on slowly. i agree this year it is better (mostly cuz of the upsets), but for it to really become relevant in the U.S. we need to have all our best players. we do it for basketball, the players just need to suck it up, stop coming up lame w/ phantom injuries, be big boys and represent their country. its ridiculous how prima donna most of these major leaguers are. its one thing for some of the pitchers, but the position players can all play. old timers are rolling over in their graves...

I really hope that USA doesn't try to get Grady to replace Ryan Braun for the final round. Or if they do he and/or the Indians say no. The last thing we need is him reaggravating that groin injury that's not even 100% yet, just two weeks before opening day. No, lol. I'm nervous enough with DeRosa playing with all these injuries happening.

Guthrie got hammered again. I gotta disagree with you guys on the injury thing. I hope Grady does get the call. These guys are going to come into the season primed to play. With the Indians being slow starters, I wish more of them were in the WBC. I'm also diggin' this DeRosa fella. Looks good everywhere, good pickup.

Until you see Korea do something about the military service rule, I think a lot of teams will be hesitant to go after some of these guys knowing they're going to lose them for 2 years, or not get them until they are a little older.

3-2 bottom of the 9th, Korea up down 1. Gotta say this game has been VERY entertaining.

I just don't think the USA "gets it" when it comes to international tournaments like this...be it the World Cup with soccer or now with baseball. Hopefully this catches on. Selig mentioned they will be making some more changes for the next one, all for the better.

Choo is up 4th this inning....already hit a solo HR tonight....could be the hero if he gets up.
