dwags: Tribe NOT out of Manny race

Hello all. I don't have any specific news to report. But here are a few things I've been told. First, no matter what Dellucci's agent says, he hasn't been promised an every day job. Second, and don't take this for more than it is (meaning, I am not saying this is going down), but I am told the Tribe is not out of the Manny race yet. They are not balking at the 18 mil salary. However, and this comment doesn't apply to the Tribe, just in general, Manny's camp is saying for him to allow a trade, the team has to pick up his 2 $25 mil options. Hard pill to swallow right there, and I can't imagine anyone will do that. But, the Tribe is still in the running for him.

Also, Manny is insisting that any team that deals for him picks up two option years at the back end of deal at 25 mill per.

I am not sure that I would give him that as a free agent, and I certainly would not give up Sowers. Manny is still a great producer, but he is not in full charge of his mental capacities, tends to be lazy, and this will be his last great pay day (which means someone will overpay). That salary alone would cripple them for the coming years and seriously impede their ability to resign Sizemore, Hafner, and C.C..

Triv was pretty adamant......mentioned it would be this for Mannyt:

1. Sowers +
2. Two of Miller, Crowe, Carmona +
3. Choo

There was a 6th player in there....can't recall.....I believe it was Garko.

So basically they want Sowers and Choo....and two of the Miller, Crowe, Carmona group. No fiung way.

I would seriously consider Carmona, Choo and Garko. But no way I am parting with Sowers or Miller.
