Or maybe Shapiro is planning to platoon managers with Wedge and Showalter? He seems to like it so much.
All sarcasm aside, Showalter seems like a pretty bright baseball guy, and the Tribe could do a lot worse than having Buck as a resource.

I like showalter because he is an asshole.

Hiring Showalter would guarantee the Indians would be a winner.
After they fired Showalter that is.

IIRC, in a poll of MLB players last seaon, Wedge and Showalter were voted the 2nd and 3rd worst managers in all of baseball behind the Nationals Frank Robinson.
When the Indians fire Wedge this season, I hope they at least interview Joe Girardi.
