not sure of the details
great corner OFer with power and a veteran
and he'll give Grady and JP competition for strikeout totals per season

His numbers are very "Jason Michaelsesque."
If your numbers can be compared to J-Mike, then you FUCKING SUCK.
Well, he has been around since 1997 and he is in his mid to early 30s, so there is always the chance that he could improve.

Guess which line is Michaels avg per 162 games and which one is Dellucci's.

Another slow guy who strikes out alot, and you can't even justify him as a defensive upgrade. He had one good offensive season, and it was in that bandbox in Arlington.
Still waiting to see the #'s on the deal, but a misallocation of dollars IMO. I'd rather see Choo out there.

I don't understand this signing, unless it is a prelude to some other moves coming. Is Choo being used as trade bait for something bigger?

Choo for bullpen help? Michaels for a bag of baseballs? Casey Blake as part of a Manny deal, or maybe Casey for bullpen help?

Right now, this rumor is bunk.
Signing Delucci makes absolutely no sense unless we trade away a few outfielders in a serious deal for a closer or for Manny. Only then can I maybe understand it.
On its own, it is a horrible idea. Choo is just as good as Delucci in a platoon role with Michaels if they really wanted to do that. I like Delucci's power, but he doesn't fit a need for this team as it currently stands.
