Supposedly, "bend it like beckham" was a take off of the old "Hook it like Haaskivi" phrase we used to yell at the games. That MF'er could ball y'all.

Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB

Oh yeah. I forgot about Sly's pro soccer past. He was Pele's goalie IIRC.

They came up huge against Germany despite some highly questionable calls from the officials and some less than cleanly tactics from the Germans:

And while it's rare to see a soccer player in such terrible shape as Michael Kane was (a big gut despite being starved in a POW camp, as I recall) you can look no further back than what Diego Maradona's coke-bloated body looked like a few years ago to see it's possible.
