The Zips played well all yar, but not at the level they did last year. They seem to lack the intensity they had last year, and got bounced from the MAC tournament by the eventual champion. Having to replace seven starters who went pro played hell on the chemistry.
They were selected as an unseeded team, and play Northwestern Thursday night at home. Not only is this an NCAA tournament game, this will also be a revenge game from a couple years ago when they were to host the Huskies in the tourney, only to have the NCAA move the game to NW because of pitch conditions. That won't be an issue in Akron's new stadium.
The winner travels to SMU.

So Lingerie Football is hiring more athletic women to "legitimize" the sport?
