Thursday might the Cavaliers have their chance to ambush a San Antonio team whose been laying around like Fat Cats with job security amidst the mice scuttling to steal crumbs .

The layoff has been long enough to hamper a Spurs team who should be rusty and the timing couldn't be better for a red hot Cav team , previously inexperienced butt now battle tested and battle hardened after dispatching a
playoff nemesis.

The only fly in the ointment is Lebrons pregnant wife ,
butt in true old school fashion the man says he's playing .

Unlike Larry Hughes who folded like Milktoast when his brother passed instead of using the angst as a rallying point , Bron will somehow turn this negative into a positive and handle the extra pressure as he's adapted and handled everything else thats come along in his young 22 Year old life.

Thursday night the Spurs are going down in a surprise , Sunday the Cavs shock the world and follow up with spanking #2 Monday them docs
induce labor remove that last pressure off the back of Lebrons mind
and then with surgical precision we remove the last fucking hurdle between Cleveland and their 43 year Championship drought
with the biggest non probable upset since David whupped Goliath.

My initial prediction was that the Cavs would win game two in SA, but I think you're on to something SD.

Spurs have been sitting around for a week, and it's their fourth finals in nine years (yawn). Cavs are very confident, playing great, and had the perfect amount of rest. Listening to Reghi on the radio today, he was at the practice ... he said this team just seems unflappable right now. No sense of just being happy to be there. Guys seem sharp, happy, focused ... the mindset appears perfect. Seems like a perfect storm for the upset tomorrow night, and for the series.

Only thing that scares me about tomorrow night?

Cavs are getting SEVEN AND A HALF POINTS in this game. Vegas is seeing something we aren't.

I don't get all the talk of SA being rusty and all that....they have sat around, what, 2 more days than the Cavs? Is there really that much difference from sitting around 5 days like the Cavs will have done when the series tips tomorrow night, or the 7 or 8 the Spurs will have? It would mean a lot more to me possibly had SA been sitting 7-8 days, and we are coming off just 2-3 days rest. But that ain't the case, and I see absolutely no advantage of having a 5 day layoff vs. a 7-8 day one.

I can't wait to get this series started. We all have to much time to try and spin every which way the Cavaliers have an advantage here.

I think the Cavaliers have a great shot in this series, but I see the Cavs getting beat soundly in Game One. And before people come down hard on me, I am predicting that Game 1 be a wakeup call to the team (and fans?) where we end up stealing Game 2. I just see us having a major hangover from the EC Final celebration in that it will take the better part of a full game to get back into gear.

That sealed it ... just put my bet in, Cavs +7.5.

You and Barkley work on your picks together?

Also, for the record, I see a big difference in the layoff.

The Cavs played six hotly contested games where they the games were tight for all 48 minutes .... against a team that plays a similar style of basketball to the Spurs.

The Spurs layoff may only be three days longer, but four days off (three day breaks are common in the reg season) is alot different than seven for a basketball team. Also, they are coming off a series against a Utah team that really should have been knocked out 1st rd, and presented them no challenge whatsoever.

Maybe I'll let you win the first couple. Just to tear out your hearts later in the series.
