Of course it is wrong.

The 86 NBA was light years ahead of the 96/97 NBA as far as other strong teams.

You had to beat Detroit, Philly and Atlanta just to get out of the conference. Who di dthe Bulls have to contend with then? The Pacers and the Knicks? bwhahahahahahaha.

The only disappointment is that the lakers choked that year and Ralph Sampson pulled that GWS out he bunghole so we didn't get to see the celtics at their best play the Lakers.

In 87, Bird's body started to give out on him. He really did have a very short span when he was at his best when you think about it.
