It's the moneyline.

-500 for the Spurs means that you have to put $500 on the Spurs just to win $100. +400 on the Cavs means that if you put $100 on the Cavs that you'd win $400 if the Cavs win. If you have faith in the Cavs then a bet on them would be a smart move because you could walk away with $400 extra for every $100 you dropped on them.

Still not bad. If I were a betting man then I'd be all over it. I think a Cavs' win is not a long shot, though obviously others feel differently. I've heard few people pick the Cavs. Scott Williams was on ESPN Radio last night telling people not to count them out, that they tend to play up or down to their competition, and that Mike Brown is 3-1 versus the Spurs.

I won't bet on the Cavs because I'm a huge mush. But I think its pretty good odds considering that in the NBA matchups are everything. If Hughes/Pavlovic can shut down Ginobili and we can keep Parker out of the paint we will do well. They have no answer for Bron or Z.

And we do have evidence that the regular season can be predictive of postseason games- just look at the Mavs/Warriors series for proof of that.

I think the game one line is off more than the series number. 7 and a half is too many points with these two defenses, I think.
