Cavs/Pistons Game Four

Unread postby swerb » Tue May 29, 2007 7:00 pm

God, I don't come to you often. I haven't been to church for anything but a wedding in over a decade. Not even on Easter and Christmas. The only time I pray is when I've got money on a game and need a field goal late in a game for a cover. I use the Lord's name in vain every time I watch Larry Hughes shoot a jump shot and every time I watch Drew Gooden try and pick up a switch defensively.

I come to you now asking for a win tonight though. There's no good reason for you to grant me this request. Other than the facts I have been subject to nothing but misery as a Cleveland sports fan. And Hiko makes me look like a saint in comparison.

This is the biggest game of the series. We win, it's all square. We lose...we're done. Cuz we're not taking 2 games in Detroit.

As much as I hate Larry Hughes, I wish we had him tonight for depth and defense. I have a feeling Rip is going to be running laps all night.

How about Boobie dropping Chauncey's patented step-back on the Pistons...Classic. This dude oozes confidence.

I agree with Barkley 100%. Cavs need to get out and RUN in the 3rd quarter. If I was Roker, I would start Gibson over Larry and rest Boobie when Chauncey leaves the floor.

Hughes is gimpy. Defenders are smelling blood, rushing him when he has the ball. And hes been unable to move laterally on defense.

Cavs have been very lackadaisacal out of the break in this series. They cannot be here. They need to stay aggressive, speed up the tempo. Don't let Detroit dig into that half court defense.

Where would this team be without Gibson? At some point, they've got to figure out that the game isn't over at halftime. We've had a sizable lead every single game in this series at halftime, and we've blown it every single game within about 5 minutes.

They'd be down 10-14 points right now if it wasn't for Gibson.

Get that kid some O2.

It'd sure be nice if Gibson could get some offensive help out there.

I'm following via GameCast at the office and I'm still shaking my head at all the X's inside the perimeter for the Cavs. And this was without Hughes on the floor...

The Gooden technical, which seemed assinine at the time, appears to have sparked the team.

Finish this.
