I don't know if him being forced to withdraw his MVP vote is funnier than that mustache but it's in the same neighborhood.

He's become a cartoon character.

"He ended up withdrawing his MVP vote to avoid the perception of any conflict."

More like he withdrew to not render his wagers invalid.
"I won’t tell you exactly what it’s about, but this is typical of what might happen,'' he said. "I said, ‘Tom, do you want to do this?’ He said, ‘I don’t think I do. I think it’s too much or too strong or whatever.’ I said, ‘well, we might have to.’ And he goes, ‘well, if we have to, then you’ve got to tell me, because I won’t do it.’ And I said, ‘OK, then I might have to tell you. Fine.'''

He's an absolute joke now. As someone who read him from the very beginning on ESPN.com (circa '01), he became famous by being funny on sports/pop culture stuff that everybody could relate to then parlayed it into becoming a Hollywood douche and a self proclaimed expert on everything. Now he couldn't take himself more seriously and uses his platform to write boring self-congratulatory articles when he isn't nearly as informed and/or skilled as a lot of other writers. I've fully converted to Drew Magary on Deadspin for funny mailbags and other articles, he's hilarious.

Nice to hear via Windy that local, N.E. Ohio boy made good Lebron James is going to get his 3rd MVP. That along with his pending NBA championship should really trigger the civic pride we are so famous for.

Simmons is an idiot. He has bad insight and is a flat-out moron. He's not funny, witty or creative. Plus he looks like a gay Frenchman (a little redundant, no?) with that 'stache.
