The James stuff is like wayyyyyyyyyy behind the fact he is a long 6'8" PF that can't shoot. Can't post. Can't shoot FT's. He is a good defender and rebounder. How does he fit into the rotation of Andy and JJ? What do they think of Erden and Samuels?

Andy needs to be dealt this year.

This draft pick tells me Andy isn't going anywhere.

This also upsets me.

We're going to push for speed w/ this rebuild and act like this draft was the shortcut we needed. Just effin watch.

Still trying to find one good justification for drafting TT. Certainly not a position of need. JJ, Andy, Antawn and Samuels makes PF possibly the deepest position on the team. Which isn't saying much, but any of those four is better than a raw rookie with limited offensive talent. Could Grant have something cooking in the trade department for JJ or Andy for a proven SF like Igoudala?

And I'm eh on the Thompson pick. Wanted Kanter badly and after that didn't really care much. Vala definitely has the higher upside but the chances of him reaching it are remote (I'm telling myself that just to get through the draft).

Maybe this isn't so bad. If we play our cards right it might be almost the end of March before we are mathematically eliminated next year.

I thought Marshon Brooks would have been perfect for Boston to provide bench scoring with a gradual transition to taking over for Pierce but if they're trading him to NJ.... anything that hurts Boston is good in my eyes.

Well, Antawn is gone either at the trade deadline or season's end, Andy is a center in B. Scott's rotation (if you have a problem with that, take it up with the HC), JJ wouldn't know a defensive rotation if it bit him in the lip, and Samuels is, well, an UDFA from a year ago.

I could be wrong, but personally I think this pick means that Scott feels he's gotten as much as he can out of JJ and that they are going to sell high on him either now or sometime next season. If he can bring us a 2012 lottery pick I'll be delighted. I guess I must be the only one who got tired of watching the layup drills opponents were putting on us last season with JJ either at C or PF.

My goal for today was to get Kyrie, Jonas Val and then later find a way to package the TPE and some of our vets for Iggy. We didn't get our future center so I was still holding out hope we could get our future SF/SG (Iggy).

Love it even more for the Mavs. I thought Rudy wanted to go back to Europe but could be reinvigorated playing with Dirk and should be the perfect bench piece for Dallas, especially if they lose Barea.
