Dirk's legacy has been discussed ad nauseum already during this playoffs. LeChoke falling on his face is one of the few things that could have stopped that talk.

Seriously, Miami’s defense is built to beat the East teams. The body up with Wade and LBJ then just pack the living shit out of the lane. This is why KG was able to go for 28 and 18 when he felt healthy. If a PF can exploit his one on one or pull the trap you can score on the Heat, especially when the corpse of Bibby is on the floor and especially when you are going to have either undersized Joel Anthony or Bitch Chris Bosh forced to account for Chandler’s oop effect all series long.

I’m not immune to retarded and am as in shock as everyone else to see the Mavs here, but now that they are here they need to be recognized. MVP of the playoffs (runner up: LBJ; third place: Z-BO; obligatory mention: Chris MFin Paul) combined with the best passing offense the league has seen in years is something Miami doesn’t even understand at this point. The best part is, they can’t even put LBJ on Dirk because of how good he is a drawing fouls.

Only way the Heat win this series, IMO, is if 2 of the big 2.5 go insane. If the Marion/Stevenson/Kidd (seriously, did you guys see Kidd switching on to Durant for an entire playoff series??? WTF) trio can contain Wade and LBJ (and by contain I mean less than 70 a game out of both) I don’t see how the Heat win this series.

Just a tremendous series and playoff season all together.

Well that's fair, but he's the undisputed leader of that team, a team with one superstar who won the title. There will be days and weeks of coverage of him.
Especially with nothing coming out of Miami (at least willingly).

Would be nice if Cleveland fans were able to be acknowledged somehow in Dallas' parade.

Also, I am solidly behind Gilbert. The TMLP thing isn't fair. The guy has been learning as he goes, and has stubbed his toe some. But I still like that the goal with him isn't just profitability- it's winning, and to him it's personal. Much rather have that than a guy just managing the ledger and who's main goal is to preserve equity and pass it to the kids.

Capped off with the best playoffs ANYONE can remember since at least the early 80s.

^ yeah the mystery of what is with this LBJ guy is almost fascinating to be honest with you.

Hate to admit it but after 1 full season of watching him while not in a Cavalier uniform it has really shed some light on just where he stands as an NBA "superstar". The dude has some real flaws to his game.

The fucking toughness of this Dallas team is the one thing no casual observer, hell probably many insiders would have counted on. Carlisle is also a magician. I was all over the house wondering why the hell he didn't get Peja the f out of the rotation. But to replace him with Cardinal? Mahini(sp)? But all those guys had that toughness, they had fauls, but they didn't wilt. J Kidd is as stoic as Marcus Aurelius. Barea is like 5 feet tall. Dirk supposed to be soft as a marshmallow? Just a freaking tough team when it mattered most.

Game 2?

Love Carlise here, "we got plenty of guys with questionable sanity." The question was leading to Terry not feeling the pressure, but that whole team has stones.

I wouldn't go that far, the 90's had some very very good series. The biggest problem with the 90's is you knew who the man was and he never let go, ever. But this year was way way better than I would have ever guessed in advance.
