BOLD STATEMENT!

*That segment sucked. Jon Berry join Reggie Miller and Marc Jackson.

Oh yeah he is there. He just doesn't regularly get games.

I still don't understand how Marion ever makes a shot with that T-Rex release.

KD getting to the rim and Kidd making threes means this could end up 140-130

You think the guy that came up with these talking ball commercials got fired the first day of the playoffs or are they waiting until they end to can him?

People watch the studio stuff?

You all are way better than me at watching sports. I couldn't even name a single announcer on an NBA playoff telecast. (Although I have watched Sir Charles and his ill-fitting clothes on the set a few times.)

The talking ball seems lame, but then my TV always goes to mute or to the baseball game when they take a break from the actual game.

Why they got rid of the "Where amazing happens" with the calls from like Shaq's dunk against the Blazers is just dumb.

just stick to that..play those every year. don't mess with perfection.

James Harden just keeps growing. When he is playing like that OKC goes from very good to terrifying.

Can't wait for the national press to try and start a trade Westbrook controversy tomorrow though. Gonna be grand fun.

OKC's coach puts Westbrook and Perkins on the pine for the entire fourth quarter and the Thunder even it up. Love the playoffs, don't love the commercials and announcers.
"It's all about winning for me, and I think the Cavs are committed to doing that," he said. "But at the same time I've given myself options to this point, and like I said before, me and my team, we have a game plan that we're going to execute, and we'll see what we get."

On a side note: TNT's coverage is so far superior to ESPN's it makes me cringe.

The camera angles are like 100x better, the slight delay on the score keeper is fantastic. Everything is perfect but Reggie Miller.

And this game is over.

I was a CYO...

Yeah I was horrible, but you got my point. Reggie's only decent point of the entire telecast was how Boozer going off on offense just doesn't really amount to anything. Guy has bad hands, doesn't finish too well outside of the easy slams, and is a ghost on man an team defense.

He has Z hands, ever notice how often the balls rolls of his hands like he is releasing with his palm instead of finger tips, even on lay ups.

If Bulls can bounce back in game 4 everything can easily be fine for them.

While I agree in theory, taking back home court, they are just giving Miami too much confidence. IMO, Miami has proven they can nullify Rose, and with Haslem and a less bitch-like (or maybe Boozer just brings out the man in him) Bosh they are beating them inside.

Noah has to get a bit more under control with less silly fouls, Asik is hopefully able to go, and Thib's needs to keep Gibson on the floor for longer stretches. Very uphill at this point.

Agreed, strange rotation for much of tonight's game for the Bulls. Need to rough Bosh up a bit, don't leave him so alone (only way he really hurts you). Bulls need to try to get Noah going early, he can still have an impact with Haslem on the floor.

If the Heat are going to have Haslem knock down open 12 footers and Bibby shoot 40% on open 3's this is over.

They can afford to watch Wade expend energy on defense and still have a closer and a half for the stretch run.

No one really left that can make Bosh look like a finesse player and rough him up.

I'm afraid the path keeps getting clearer for Miami.

Dallas can expose Bosh rather easily.

You don’t have to physically beat him up (even though Dirk is 100x tougher and more physical than him) to beat him. You need to not be Carlos Boozer is really all.

I’m pretty sure right now you or I could score on Boozer.

Amazing how bad he is.

This series started out on a very unexpected note, but we’ve settled in exactly where I thought it would be. This Bulls team is built terribly for playoff hoops. Their post scorer is a vag, they only have one true 3pt shooter that has rotated between ice cold and cold all series while playing Boozerish D, Rose is playing 1 v. 5 without even having shooter on the floor which lets the perimeter D of Wade and LBJ just eat Deng and Rose alive on the perimeter. Feh.

The Bulls are what everyone thought they were.

The Thunder have the talent to beat the Heat but are such a freaking mess right now it’ll take a miracle for them to get their shit together and beat The Mavs and/or The Heat.

The Mavs can space the floor and score on anyone. It would be the best offense in the league (seriously, The Mavs are one of the best passing teams I have ever seen. Remind me of the early 2000 Kings in that regard), have a Superstar that is unguardable at the moment and have Chandler to roam the Lane on D.

They are the best match-up of anyone in this playoffs against The Heat.

Hope you're right Lee. I know there's a dearth of Bynum-like post players that are physical, etc and that can reduce Bosh to the player he is, but I fear if he's getting involved offensively that Miami is such a tough out. And like you said, Miami plays ridiculous defense too.

Dirk has taken like 3 three pointers the entire OKC series. He operates solely from the post these days, not like he is playing out on the three point line. The Mavs took apart Pau, they can handle Bosh on D. And when Miami goes small Bosh gets to deal with Chandler beating him up.

Bosh is the farthest thing from concerning in that series. I’m far more concerned about Wade keeping Terry on the Bench more than the Mavs would like. Although Terry can’t guard anyone ever, he just outscores them.

Again, Troy Murphy had multiple 20 point games against Boozer. Currently in this series 60 of Bosh’s points have come in Boozer’s 92 minutes. 14 have come in the 52 minutes with Boozer on the bench. Bosh is scoring 31 points per 48 minutes against Boozer and 12 per 48 against the bench.

Boozer is n effin twat, no way around it.

Not sure if I've seen a team wear its collective shock, fear, panic like the Thunder did last night.

Westbrooks seems to be shaken to the core and melting each and every game and they had zero leadership to stop that slide or rally them for the OT.

That game was over once Dallas cut the lead to four in the final minute. The only surprise was them not winning it in regulation when the best shot KD can think to take is is a foot prayer with three seconds left?

The Thunder melted and collapsed. Might be the biggest choke job I can recall and yes, Dirk was unGodly. But the Thunder lost that series last night because they're immature and lack leadership on the bench and on the floor.

I thought for a moment or two I was watching LeBron and Mike Brown working their magic in OKC. Ridiculous to lose that game. ::doh::

And this just in, Kendrick Perkins stinks. :hide:

Notice when it all fell apart Peeks…

The second Harden fell out. Scotty Brooks is pretty much Mike Brown on offense. It’s been broken down all over the interwebs at this point w/ video proof. The guy’s offense is terrible. Westbrook takes some dumb shots but pretty much any time there is actual motion and cutting in the gameplan (WAIT!!! THEY HAVE A GAMEPLAN!!!!) he makes the correct pass. Problem is that 9/10 they just end up standing around or setting really really shitty screens that do nothing. Brooks cannot win a title as a coach at this point. Seriously, the best play Brooks could draw up at the end of the game resulted in a cross court three point attempt from Sefolosha? WTF? Brooks and Mike Brown are like long lost brothers. Thunder just get away with the shitty O a lot because they have three legit guys that can score. Brooks is treating this team like they are the Mavs and just telling them to go play offense rather than running sets and its an extremely stupid approach to coaching a team of 23 and unders.

Another issue is Perk not being healthy yet. He can still bang with the big guys but Chandler is just too athletic for him. Next year he’ll most probably look a lot better, that is a BIG MAN to be coming off of an ACL surgery.

I was too lazy to type what I was thinking. Props on your observation. :thumb up:
Game. Set. Match. Mark Cuban has to be lusting for LeBron and company in the NBA Finals.
"It's all about winning for me, and I think the Cavs are committed to doing that," he said. "But at the same time I've given myself options to this point, and like I said before, me and my team, we have a game plan that we're going to execute, and we'll see what we get."

No doubt thats when it happened.

From a layman's perspective it was stunning. Not just from a being outscored standpoint, but from a complete and total melt down in terms of play on the court, expressions off the court and body language in both areas.

Lost. Utterly lost on the floor and it was almost physically hard to watch. Add in the fact that they actually did a lot of stuff right on the defensive end in terms of one-on-one matchups (not talking abou the decision to stay with Collison's one on one matchup). Collision was hanging on Dirk like a shirt with a hand in his face and it didn't matter.

Perfect storm of young team, ridiculously hot star and overwhelmed coach.

Brutal to see.

Speaking of brutal.... Carlos Boozer is fucking terrible.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

Carlos Boozer is Derrick Rose's Larry Hughes.... think about it for a minute. (actually Boozer wishes he contributed at IHS's level).

Watching him stand in the lane as Wade just walks around him is a sin against the sport of basketball

Gawd, even when Boozer gets an easy dunk it's only because he refused to hustle down the floor on D and was still standing under the freaking hoop. This was my point about Gay and finding a #2. The Bulls will NEVER win a title as constructed.

Boozer's "hustle" rewarded with a cherry pick dunk. I am surprised he didn't miss it. Boozer's contract is FUCKING Terrible! The Bulls are stuck with him for like 4 more years at 16M, and he is worthless on defense and almost worthless on offense.

The Bulls have ~30M per year for the next 4-5 years tied up in Boozer and Noah, both are terrible contracts. I like Noah's game, but it is not worth 14M per year.

I am fine with Noah's deal, as defensive bigs that are as good as him (and that can consistently shut down LBJ on the switch) are damn hard to find. Considering that every useful and even non-useful big in the NBA is overpaid that's fine.

Boozer on the other hand is the result of trying to add a #2 as the last piece and being forced to grab the leftovers.
