Two ridiculous shots at the end of regulation to save the series, shoulda been done, but I still see memphis winning this next game and moving on. Killed my ML bet with Memphis last nite though. I love the way this team is built, and how they play. I'd love to see a healthy rudy gay in the mix, they'd be a series contender IMO.

No, I want the Heat to win. Lee broke it down that I was an unevolved Cleveland vag and needed to appreciate the Association all pure-like and get in touh with my inner Chineese market. So I'm down. last year I hated Boston and wanted Bron to win, so I'm keepin' it real this year. Besides, love the Heat's swag an how they will bookend this season with 2 chmpionship celebrations. Can't wait for them to run the old farts off the floor in 5 games and shock the world. Then maybe people will STFU about one of our own who just left to make it big, like Ben Orr going to Boston so he didn't get stuck beinging Jonah Koslan.

Bron is set to make us proud and win the title that wasn't possible with Ferry screwing the pooch every time he had capital to improve the team. Besides, the cavs have always been a sorry assed franchise. They should move to like San Diego and be the Conquistidors and have Wilt's cremated ashes coach the team.

A friend invited me to the Celtics-Magic ECF Game 3 last year, harder for me to hate the Celtics after seeing how passionate those fans are. Same for the Knicks at MSG, two insane old school atmospheres.

I'll defend the early 90's Richfield crowds (and it was way before my time, but the Miracle years were supposedly great too) but even at the Cavs' recent peak, the Q doesn't stack up. All the entertainment crap during the game doesn't even give organic crowd noise a chance to take shape. I'd hardly single Cleveland out though, I think it's pretty much in line with the 10-12 other transient NBA mid markets.

To me this series is pretty simple. If Miami gets behind at any point- 1-0, 2-1, 3-2- they're going to be in major trouble. Because that is a front-running team if I've ever seen one. If they get in a tight spot, look out.

Also, hard to believe this is the first time the Lakers and Mavericks have met in the postseason since the '88 WCF. You'd think they would have collided at some point over the last decade.

I had a double take on that as well. The Mavs story reads quite a bit like the Atl. Braves story, so little to show for such a long run of success (despite Atl winning 1 ring).

FYI, I am not sure how many people care about this, but they frequently refer to DWest as "Mr. James" on NYC sports talk radio.

Pierce is rumored (I doubt its truth) to have posted the following on twitter after the ejection and then took it down shortly there after. The NBA has confirmed that Pierce was ejected for a "Verbal Taunt."

I read somewhere - don't remember where - that LeBron went up to his mom's hotel room in Boston (in the playoffs last year), and Delonte answered the door wearing nothing but a towel, and THAT is the reason LeBron quit in the playoffs last year. FWIW.

Rose "tweaks" his ankle at the end of the game. The Atl looked formidable last night and interested in playing for four quarters despite not having Hinrich. Dallas has a bench and the Lakers don't (at least last night). I have this sick feeling that Miami is going to win it and that with each series, things get easier. Someone, help me, please...............................
