Police spokeswoman Deborah Doty confirmed that Gloria James was arrested at the Fontainebleau Hotel early Thursday morning.

She would not say what led to the 4:47 a.m. arrest, or what charges Gloria James may face. Doty said police will issue a statement later Thursday.

Area media outlets reported that James was facing a misdemeanor assault charge. She allegedly assaulted a parking attendant at the hotel, according to reports.

Gloria James was arrested on DUI charges in 2006 in Ohio.

Police allege that the altercation began after James confronted the valet, Sorel Rockfeller, and asked “Where are my fucking keys?” James continued “yelling profanities” at the valet, who explained that he had given the keys to the valet cashier because, though James’s car had been ready for 30 minutes, she stood talking with friends as the vehicle sat running on the valet ramp.

Then, “for no apparent reason,” James allegedly “struck the victim with an open hand across the right side of his face.” In the process, James lost her balance and fell to the ground.

When a cop later asked James for ID, she refused. James, who was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle, then “began to yell at the other female who was the driver, ‘Don’t give him anything. Don’t give him my purse.'” James, the officer noted, “had bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on her breath.”

While at the police station, two other cops tried to speak with James, who remained “very uncooperative” and said, “I’m trying to trust you but I don’t trust your kind. I don’t trust that officer who arrested me.”

It is unclear what “kind” James does not reportedly trust.

The kid has had his sense of entitlement since his junior yr at SVSM. Between all the NBA players coming out to his games when n town, to Gloria tanting the other parents w/ her sons Wheaties box, the kid has been on a candonowrong path for the last decade plus. The whole H2 incident and the throwback jersey incidents showed this as well as he just laughed it off. The entitlement isn't James alone, it extended to his LRMR buddies the moment he was drafted. Just ask the staff at Jacobs Field when the invited the James gang to the game the day after the draft.

Gilbert didn't instill all this onto James but he helped make it much worse. It was already out of control.

I only disagree as to the degree to which Gilbert created James. The level of entitlement of pro athletes is a given, I'm not gonna go around comparing who got more or the specific items.

James was an egotistical maniac before Gilbert, and is still one after Gilbert. In fact he has probably said and done more stupid things since being, "disciplined", by the fans and a more rational owner, but thats all because Gilbert covered it up right...
