They're clearly one of the worst teams in the league. Even the eteranal optimists have to realize that by now. If not, just look at the standings. They're one game out of last place in the East, which has six teams with winning records.
Sad thing is they haven't even hit the hardest part of their schedule yet. That comes in January. Can they even win before then? Here's their upcoming games:
Sun, Dec 12 @ Oklahoma City -- 12-point underdogs
Wed, Dec 15 @ Miami -- yeaaaaaaa
Fri, Dec 17 @ Indiana -- already obliterated by them in Indiana
Sat, Dec 18 vs NY Knicks -- seven straight wins and who stops Amare?
Mon, Dec 20 vs Utah -- one of the best in West
Wed, Dec 22 @ Atlanta -- already lost by double digits (or close) at home
Sun, Dec 26 vs Minnesota -- destroyed by them in Minny w/out Beasley
Tue, Dec 28 vs Orlando -- couldn't even beat them with LeBron
Wed, Dec 29 @ Charlotte -- hey, someone worse than Cavs! but on road
I'll still take the Minnesota game as most likely for the Cavs to get their next win. Indiana would be my next choice. I don't see how the Cavs even have a winning record against the spread getting double digits against half these teams. They'll be lucky to win two games the rest of the month. I don't see them having 14 wins by the end of January.
