Cavs Remaining 30 Games After The Break

Unread postby swerb » Thu Feb 16, 2006 4:28 pm

~15 home, 15 away

~18/30 against teams with losing records

~Last 4 games vs the Knicks, Wizards, Celtics, Hawks

~Have one tough extended road trip left. Late in the year they play at New Jersey, New Orleans, Detroit, and Washington.

~Have 3 games remaining vs the Pistons. Have both games left with the Mavericks. Have two games left with the Heat.

~However, 10 of remaining 30 games are against five of the worst teams in basketball, as they play Orlando, Toronto, Charlotte, Boston, and the Knicks twice more still.

~They also still play Philly, Washington, and the Bulls two more times each.

Amazing how they have the same exact record as last year at the All-Star break. Makes me wonder how they'll implode again this year.....I think that is highly unlikely this time around because the team is a little better and also there are not many decent teams hanging around the #8 seed. If they stay healthy the last 30, I like their chances (note, I am not saying they are a lock).

Their schedule was brutal after the break last year. They played almost all the patsies on their schedule early.

Things are much easier on paper for them down the stretch this year.

Going even 13-17 in the 2nd half would put them at 44-38, and lock them into a spot. And with 18 of those games against losing teams, not making the playoffs may eclispse the Tribe collapse last year.

Gulp. There's that word again. Why don't you tell Jobu to fuck off while you are at it.
