Gilbert whips fans into frenzy, leaves them w/blue balls

No, this isn't about the team's inept performance on the court, which Byron Scott admits hasn't even reached the low point yet.

It's about Dec. 2, when LeBron and the Heat return.

After penning a scathing letter ripping LeBron and vowing a curse will follow the "self-proclaimed former" king to Miami, Gilbert bans anti-LeBron signs and clothes from The Q. Sounds like Operation TSA is underway, as there will be dozens of extra police on hand as well as Cavs officials scouring the entrances and stands to disarm people with such items.

Some senior VP actually has to say the Cavs don't want to create a police state.

I am reading this as all things anti-LeBron and not only the derogatory ones. So Quitness, Lyin' King, Ringless, the Chosen third references are all off limits??

Then they need to keep the chalk far away from that little bitch's hands before the tip.

IMO, it's shortsighted to. say it's Gilbert leaving fans w/ blue balls. I guarantee Stern neutered Gilbert after his letter in July. This game has been circled on the calander not only by Cavs fans but the league office as well. Stern doesn't want another Palace of Auburn Hills episode on his hands. He wants to make sure fans stay behind their line and the players stay behind theirs. Gilbert is probably going over the top with the restrictions b/c the NBA FO is doing everything to protect it's dream team and was making unreasonable demands to the Cavs. I also think that Gilbert doesn't want James to be acknowledged in any way, good, bad, or indifferent. Gilbert wont even utter his name and has removed all evidence of James existence in the Q, thus the LBJ gear ban.
Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB

Signs are the least of the issue. This has all the makings whether or not there are any lame-ass signs in the house.

There is pure effing hate for that guy and it will manifest itself one way or the other, sign or no sign.

Is a Cavs' victory too much to hope for?

According to NBA.com: "[Chris] Bosh left the game briefly in the first quarter [Wednesday] with back spasms and never looked the same; Udonis Haslem's season may be over after surgery this week to repair a torn ligament in his left foot; Mike Miller isn't expected back until after Christmas because of a broken thumb and ligament damage; [Dwyane] Wade has been playing through a sprained left wrist; [LeQuit] has been dealing with a shin problem for a couple weeks; and Juwan Howard is playing with a broken nose."

Ain't karma a bitch? Let's enjoy it while we can.

Gilbert said Broussard is full of shit.

I believe he said, "No gestapo tactics" at Q but it still needed to be a place where you could take your kid to watch a game.

I'll be watching from a distance. Don't really care if the city gets another black eye. I'd probably celebrate the 1,000th black eye this city has gotten in the last couple years.

Give Andy the healthiest ribs in the world and you can still wonder all night how Andy is gonna play Howard.

Ultimately I think the answer is 'Not very well'.

I would be OK with a collective FU chant most of the game, it could happen.

They did eh against Orlando. ^^Agree on Andy, just pesky enough to be slightly effective, but nowhere near enuff strength. Looked at that Gilbert tweet again, seems to me they are just doing what they have to to make sure there aren't the really vulgar signs. We won't know till we know on this one, but I like the Cavaliers chances much better right now then I did 3 weeks ago.

I just wished they would move Hickson. I really can't stand the guy.

Make it a "Legends Bobblehead" night and give away Donyell Marshal and Larry Hughes bobbles.

Or retire Sasha's number at halftime.

Yeah!!! Those would make GREAT projectiles...

Although it would be more fun chucking Boozer dolls at "da Saviaa"

The fact that every sports media in the country (world) will have a camera or cell phone rolling, do we really need to resurrect the Texas Ranger Beer Night?.......Is there any chance we could take the high road for a change and act like the victim instead of a vengeful thug?

Controlled, even contrived booing will go a lot farther in the public's eye than acting like we just spotted Ned Beatty on the hillside............ :spanky:

Victim of what? The belief that a spoiled gutless diva was going to lead us to the promised land?

That's the problem. We are not victims of anything. Except being naive.
