Take two in this always exciting matchup. Nets without Williams for the second straight night, and looks like Murphy may miss the game due to a broken wheel. Not that he contributed much...

This thread isn't doing much to prove or disprove peekers assumption that we won't have any posts in these threads due to mounting losses. We're winnin' and there is nothing.

Good first half, we get what we want, only our rebounding is weak, but thats a function of team makeup not a bad game effort.

Screw that Peeker guy and his assumptions. I still watch, caught as much this year as I did last year, not bad considering I watch most of them online and they come on so damn early out here. Can't usually get to it until the 2nd half unless I dont work out and become a fatass.
In the end, we're all "only for a limited time," you guys.

They've been playing some sexy basketball for the most part.

Nets creeping back. Why? "Stop shooting jumpers, AV."

Horrendous second half

I get the feeling this team is going to blow a lot of games like this.

We've seen 2 already.
OOur bench is looking solid though with AJ, Boobie and Ramon

Depressing 2nd half. After another bad 3rd quarter I thought they'd turn it on in the 4th like they've been doing lately, but they couldn't get the shots to drop. Then Mo goes down with another groin injury. Oh well, the winning streak was fun while it lasted, even though it was against weaker competition.

The Cavs' weakness on the boards was really exposed with NJ getting 15 offensive rebounds to only 7 for the Cavs. Kris Humphries had 18 rebounds which shows the lack of muscle upfront for the Cavs as they could not keep him off the glass. The guy reminds me of a bigger Peyton Hillis.

Devon Harris lit up our backcourt for 31 points and 9 assists. They had no answer for him.

The only reason the Cavs had a shot at the end was because the Nets missed 16 free throws. I thought the Cavs did a nice job stopping the Nets' first shots on offense as the Nets only shot 41.5% from the field. Usually you win with that number but those 15 offensive rebounds hurt as well as the Cavs own poor shooting.

In the second half the Nets packed the paint to prevent those back door passes for dunks the Cavs were getting in the first half. They also kept the bigs down low to prevent layups and force penetrating guards to shoot floaters, which weren't falling for the Cavs' guards. They also made Andy shoot from outside which made him look very bad. He really needs to develop a reliable 15-foot set shot because they're letting him take it.

That Hickson jam was worth the two hours invested in watching the game, though.
