Anytime I've watched Lowry play he doesn't really do anything to stand out. He's a solid role player. Good energy guy, plays hard, tough defender, good rebounder considering the fact he's only 6'0." He's not a good shooter, though. Not Eric Snow level as a shooter, but certainly not someone you can look to for consistent scoring. He'd be a decent piece to help slow down the Rondos and Roses that Mo can't stay in front of to save his life.
And FWIW, I wouldn't touch McGrady because of his injury history, not to mention the fact that I don't think he has a lot left in his tank even when he's healthy. But I get the impression he would like to sign with a contender anyhow. I guess if he came dirt cheap it wouldn't be crazy for the Cavs to sign him to a one or two year deal with the idea being that he plays well enough and stays healthy so that a team in the hunt may want to trade for him at the deadline. But I doubt that he'll come to CLE to play on a low $ short contract.
---The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break of the game, every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches, that's gonna make the difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!
