Jackson is listed at 6-9 but that's being generous. He's really an undersized 4 who probably needs to improve as an outside shooter for his career to gain much traction.

This rotation is way too small. They have to find someone bigger to defend guys like Dewey, meaning D Block still won't have a spot in any rotation.NEOLeo wrote:Telfair doesn't crack the rotation.
Bassy expires next year, making him a trade chip. With all due respect to D Jax and D Green, have either shown something that isn't a dime-a-dozen in the D-League?

You can't throw a rock in Bismark, ND and not hit an undersized 4 who can't shoot.
Then you've got a 2 guard who can't create his own shot. I like Danny but there are plenty of these guys in Europe.

Fair points and I really care less either way. The chances of any of them ever being a solid rotation player is pretty low so it probably doesn't matter but I see D Block and Green helping us more than Telfair ever would (outside of the expiring contract of course).
Six foot point guards that can't shoot are a dime a dozen too, no?
Also remember that Leon Powe is on borrowed time.

YOU don't have to give a crap about them, but the organization sure needs to...

They drafted Boobie and JJ, and have worked them into the rotation with the veterans. When you factor AV and Lebron's youth, the Cavs have an incredibly young core to balance with the aging veterans. It's how a team is composed; hungry but tested yoots with proven talent acquired through trades/FA.
Danny Green is a second round flier. If he develops in limited time and practice, they'll play him. If they lose him, the organization wont suffer immensely. He has a limited ceiling, no one has ever mistaken his upside to that of a Shannon Brown.
I'm meh, all around. Bottom line is that as long as redz is on the roster, Green wont see the court in the playoffs. Hell, Jawad might not, and he has more value than Green.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Zydrunas Ilgauskas is close to re-signing with the Cavaliers, according to his agent, Herb Rudoy.
"We are close,'' Rudoy told The Plain Dealer. "Hope to have it done tonight so he can travel tomorrow.''
Monday was the first day the Cavaliers could offer Ilgauskas a contract after trading him to the Washington Wizards on Feb. 17 in the deal that brought Antawn Jamison and Sebastian Telfair. Ilgauskas, the team's all-time leader in games played, rebounds and blocked shots, was bought out by the Wizards and cleared waivers, becoming a free agent.
Although teams such as Dallas and Denver were interested, Ilgauskas instructed Rudoy to announce that his intention was to return to Cleveland, in part because he was so moved by the outpouring of support by Cavs fans.
Ilgauskas spent part of the last month in New York, where he has a home. He has been working out steadily since leaving the Cavs and likely could join the team on its trip to New Orleans and San Antonio this week.

I like that decision, I would have kept Green over Jackson. However, I brought this up earlier but if we just bought out Telfair wouldnt that have paid for itself in luxury tax savings next year? Can't imagine it is a cashflow issue, I am probably missing something.

They owe Telfair for next year whether he's here or not and they may want to see if his PG skills translate better to a team with some offensive weapons. He's also an expiring next season which has a bit of value.

Why am I a schmuck because I wanted Z back? Oh no!!! we got a 7' 3" guy who can knock down a mid range shot and is strong enough to push Gasol off the block. Nevermind he's a great teammate and a fan favorite.
This is for you Ziner
