Huge is afraid of this game tainting his gamethread record (as he should be) but I'm not.

Cannot freaking wait for this one. Lucked into getting down real low for it. If you see DWade yelling at someone in the seats, it's prolly me.

Fantastic.

I don't think any sports experience rivals sitting real real close for hoops games.

Nothing comes even close.

First couple rows behind the Dish to watch a Sabathia/Verlander type matchup ... excellent. Both nothing even compares with first 5 rows of a NBA game. The things you see, hear ... the quality of the athletes, especially with a specimen like LeBron, who up close, appears like he was made in a factory and not born from a womb. The smell of the marijuana they smoked on the way into the game still prevalent. The level of neglect they show the coaches on time outs when they're trying to talk to the team and draw up plays.

It's fan-tastic.

Changed the title slightly to reflect that this is, in fact, the game thread.

Anyone want to put an over/under on the number of fouls D-Whistle gets in which he is literally not even touched?

You have to admit that someone coming in here and railing for four paragraphs about why LBJ is better would have been amusing as hell.

Not sure but it will be directly proportional to the times in which LBJ whines about not getting a call. :salute:
"It's all about winning for me, and I think the Cavs are committed to doing that," he said. "But at the same time I've given myself options to this point, and like I said before, me and my team, we have a game plan that we're going to execute, and we'll see what we get."

See, I learn stuff every time I stop in here.

All along, I have assumed that there was a hair-trigger button on Dwayne Wade's forearm which, when touched ever-so-slightly, causes him to collapse to the floor.

Did-not-know actual contact is not necessary.

Maybe the button activates the official's whistle.

I went up a few times in the Darius Miles/Ricky Davis years and sat within the 3rd row, once right behind the knicks bench.

Amazing view, and you are just astounded at what freaks these guys are. My brain is dead but the knicks game might have been Lebron's first year, but I don't think so because it seems like my source that got me cheap seats at the last minute dried up when LBJ hit the scene. We had to come up from the Warren area, and got a 12 pack one year. As we walked in, for the Lake Show game my kids got selected for Cavs kids club. The sit them right down on the baseline through warmups. They gave the kids these disposable cameras and a fake press pass and told them they are reporters and have to get pictures.

I was just looking at the photos last night, and any of the big guys they snapped were so mangled. Don't think little guys have the dexterity to shoot a nice pic. Shaq was in street clothes that night.

Gigglesnorted at my desk over this. I think every time he dunks or makes a tough basket and flexes his bicep, the jumbotron should flash a picture of him crying on the floor for fouls after someone blows on him or makes a "grr" face.

Let's just say that if we're making a list of biggest divas that Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion are 3-4-5 on the list behind those two guys.

You can cast it all on Wade if your geo-centric biases are too heavy. ;-) ;)

Swerb has to do it. I have seen people put it here viewtopic.php?f=10&t=13496

I have yet to do it because I can't figure out what to put. This isnt a avatar, the tag line is a long term commitment

Boobie not playing, personal issues.

Jawad starting.

May be one of the tallest starting lineups ever. Shortest player 6-6.

All per Windy's Twitter.

Good to see shots of Delonte yucking it up before the game.

Don't tell Eye, but the corpse of Anthony parker is having a good game here. ;) running the offense with no point guards, being aggressive.

Ced Jackson wondering who he has to fellate to get into a real game...and right on cue the boobster strolls in. I expected that to be more epic.

Grady, I think you could roll Tiny Archibald onto the court right now and he would make Miami's second unit look atrocious.

I mean these guys make LBJ's bum's from 2007 look like the bona-fide Magic era Lake Show.

^^^Agree but Barkley's point was stupid and tired.

By his formula, there aren't too many teams with multiple players that can get their own shot.

Chuck just took a 1st half of one game and is making blanket statements about the Cavs. He's done this for years so why is this year or time any different. Shame too, because sometimes he actually makes some salient points about teams or games. He's just always been too lazy, just like when he was a player.
Playing here is the closest thing to heaven. Really, I mean it's amazing to be in a place where the fans truly cherish their football team and stick behind them win or lose. We players love them, too. I feel a sense of accomplishment playing here, we are a special breed of football players with a great opportunity." ~ tOSU LB Brian Rolle

I find it hard to believe that the cavs don't have minutes for this version of Boobie. Drawing fouls, draining threes, occasional baskets in the paint.

Not to be all mushy, but I love this team. It is great in today's game to see a team that genuinely seems like a close knit group. Can't tell me that doesnt have an affect on the floor. Boobie stepping up with a solid 2nd half.
In the end, we're all "only for a limited time," you guys.

Anybody else catch Swerb about three rows back while the refs were fixing that clock problem in the fourth quarter?

Anyone else as unimpressed with Michael Beasley as I am? He puts up decent numbers, but they're empty numbers.

+1

Maybe he'd be better on a different team, but I don't see him doing much more for that team than Udonis Haslem does. Quietest 21 and 12 I've ever seen.

If these guys are gonna miss games when kids are born the NBA may need to expand roster sizes.

Shawn Kemp would be missing 15% of the season.

I think a lot of heat fans feel the same way; say he disappears for large stretches of games and doesn't take enough shots.

That being said, he's the only other scoring option on that team. With a better nucleus, he'd be money.

I just gave up my last hope of Ced ever getting a chance at some real minutes. If he didn't play tonight he never will. At least he got 20 days in the show. Hopefully he gets another 10 day with a crappy team once the Cavs let him go so he can actually play.

Gotta love the way this team keeps stepping up. Insane that we can beat a playoff contender without our top three point guards.
