Grizz vs. Cavs

Unread postby noles1 » Mon Feb 01, 2010 11:43 pm

Memphis plays about as good as they can tonight against the Lakers. Big win for them. May be a little tired and will be getting in late too.

Kobe was huge throughout the game but was really late on a pass to Artest for a game winner, settled for jumpers way too much.

Cavs looking to continue their win streak.

By the way, Eric Snow on television is an abomination. Him and Brent Barry got after each other critiquing the last play too. Got a little uncomfortable.
Playing here is the closest thing to heaven. Really, I mean it's amazing to be in a place where the fans truly cherish their football team and stick behind them win or lose. We players love them, too. I feel a sense of accomplishment playing here, we are a special breed of football players with a great opportunity." ~ tOSU LB Brian Rolle

has any team in nba history ever beaten the top 2 teams with the #1 and #2 best records in the game on back-to-back nights??? i dunno, but it sure as hell better not happen this time. nah. grizz will settle for a split as the cavs win their 9th straight 104-92. we can only hope. go cavs!!!

Certainly isn't going to be an easy game, remember they beat us at their house earlier this year. (In a game I feel that we got really lazy in the 2nd half and OT) We will have to come up with a way to keep Randolph in check.
In the end, we're all "only for a limited time," you guys.

Yes, Huger, lets try. My portion of the effort will involve drinking beers and yelling at the refs from my couch.

This game is a layup and dunk line for the Cavs so far.

Just don't get comfy. Don't get a 15-point lead and power down mentally. This Grizzlies team is every bit like the Bobcats from a competitive standpoint. If you let your foot off the gas, they will hurt you.

Just saw the essence of Andy is one sequence. 7-footer guarding a big on the perimeter, causes the steal, runs the floor and finishes off the fast break with a nice reverse layup. Not many guys in the league can do that; 8 and 8 be damned.

Eat 'em up Shaq!

And some people actually think he's done as a player... I think he could be the piece we've been missing all along.

Since the Dallas game months ago, Shaq has played about as well as he can.

That was right about the time I proclaimed him completely done as a player and the imploring the Cavs to make a trade. They have probably won 20/23 since that point.

Anderson and Shaq is looking scarry right now. If we could only get Hickson somewhere else... Inside out, inside out, :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead:

btw glad we all didn't go too far off the ledge after the first handful of games!

Jesus.

Sit back and watch a guy dominate every element of the game like LBJ is doing this season. He's put distance between himself and every single player in the league after winning an MVP.

It's breathtaking at times.

As an aside, J.J. Hickson is the Forrest Gump of the NBA. Mindlessly floating around the floor and reaping the benefits of fate and Hurricane LeBron.

I bought my wife some Essence Of Andy for Christmas. Found it at Circle K. It's a nice mix of vanilla, lavender, soulglo, and a hint of fish oil. $30 for a small bottle and some hand cream and body gel in a nice package.
According to my sources CDT farts in the tub and bites the bubbles.

Doubt Danny can go after a couple nights ago. Windy said he was pretty black and blue and wasn't exactly walking normally before the game.

Edit: Stand corrected...

Is this the same Austin Carr that claims you have to put a hot shooting opponent on the ground to see if he can continue? Old school Austin Carr? That was a half and half, yeah Gay shoved AV, but Anderson gave it a little Hollywood. Point #6,500 as to why we have one of the weakest play-by-play color combos in the league...

Yeah I know :dead: , but come on...

There's a difference between a hard foul on a shooter and the bush league play that was Gay shoving down a pick setter without even making an attempt to get through the screen.

did anyone hear uncle austin earlier in the game during the one sequence where lebron dunked the ball and then the cavs followed that up with a jamario moon steal and on the ensuing cavs possession, z ended up getting a layup after faking a guy out of his shoes??? he said something along the lines of "he got him a bird and the cavs are on the roof". :wha?: i have no idea what that even means???

Funny. I don't think we've seen the "You have got to be freaking kidding me" look from Lebron to the bench which Gooden used to cause, either.

Saw it in Miami when Udonis Haslem was left wide fucking open about 70 times for a 10 ft jumper.
