Set up an 800# just for such calls.

Superstars get calls in their gym.
If you don't think James gets his at The Q and all over NBA arenas you're either insincere or ignorant.
Tonight he's up against one of the other two or three supernovas in the game. So yeah, it sucks those four times a year when you're on the receiving end.
Try being the Nets.

Sure, aside from leaving Udonis wide open fifteen times.

Pretty sure that's why I led with, "I know Lebron gets plenty of bailout calls" I know lots of them are undeserved, too.
But more than any other superstar in the game (sans maybe Howard) Lebron DOESN'T get the calls taht Kobe/Wade get because he's such a physical beast.
The officiating in this game was RIDICULOUS. From the calls in the first half you can add Boobie's "loose ball foul," Haslem taking 3.5 steps on the play that put them up 90-89, and the missed goal tend. It got to the point where every single player on the floor and the bench was just staring at each other in disbelief. Im shocked they got the call right on Beasley's basket interference.

No, I agree with you. However, my point is that they did better in the last four or so minutes. That wide open 10 footer wasn't quite wide open in the last four minutes or so. That's my point. There were no defensive rotations before that. Pick and roll/pop and nobody rotated.
C'mon eye, for a guy who gripes about guys not reading people's takes....

If Jawad left him WIDE FUCKING OPEN on the double team one more time for that 10 ft baseline jumper my head was going to explode. At the timeout Lebron turned to Brown at the bench, hands wide, and the look on his face said, "SERIOUSLY?!?"

You are right. But is the uniqueness of that defensive play that make it special. Dude is so impressive.NEOLeo wrote:OldDawg wrote:And LBJ stealing a behind the back pass with the game on the line. Dude amazes in different ways every night.
I try to remind myself every night to not take LeBron for granted. It's so cool having the best player in the league on my team. I wasn't alive for Jim Brown so this is a new thing for me.
That steal and the last stop on D Wade were great, and they aren't even the best game-saving defensive plays for LeBron in the last two games.

Had they lost this game, every one of us would have given them a free pass.
The media would have given them a free pass.
MB would have given them a free pass.
They are short-handed. On the road. Against D-Wade and some home cookin'.
They are physically beat after a couple of tough emotional wins that were real battles to win.
They got a bunch of home games comin' up that would make up for it.
It woulda been OK for them to lose this one. Maybe even expected for them to do so.
But they didn't. They won the darn game anyways.
These are the kind of games that at the end of the season, when the dust settles, ... these are the kind of wins that just might make the difference in home court advantage. And they coulda let up. But they didn't.
Remember this win when it is all over. This and a possible host of other Ws like it!
I am fired up!!

Great point. Don't take that accomplishment lightly. That's five in a row and the last four have come against superstars Chris Bosh, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and Wade.
Too funny Peek. We have effectively lowered the bar for Boobie as the point guard.LBJ scored 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a virtuoso performance. Shaquille O'Neal backed him up with 19 points and five boards. Daniel Gibson scored 15 big points and even tallied one assist while Anderson Varejao added 13 points and hauled down 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers.

Sorry to have brought this debate up again, as this conversation has been had here 10X times. AC is a color man, where the ex-jock shows his heart, humor, and independent studies degree. Reghi was a play by play man, a different role than color- and Gilbert prefers McLeod's vanilla to Reghi's neopolitan. A neopolitan of hyperbole, *alleged boozing, and *alleged back-handing.

Who gives a shit, it's still 3 weeks till the trading deadline. Let's rehash bullshit.
McLeod sucks too. It's funny that the Cavs television broadcasting has the same problem the Indians has; GREAT radio guys coupled with gag-worthy television crews.
It's more like Reghi was a bologna sandwich and Mcleod is a chopped liver with moldy cheese sandwich. Better analogy. Neither is tasty but only one makes me sick.
