Pfft

I gotta write the recap of this one at 1am EST. My energy level is the one I'm worried about with a 6am wake up call pending.

So some of you fuqqstiks better be up, watching and actively posting to keep me entertained, angered or at least awake.

I am going to start cherry picking my games to get that record up. I am calling Tues, Jan 19th against Toronto right now.

also mine should have a asterisk, e0y2e3 jinxed my thread with his guarantee.
In the end, we're all "only for a limited time," you guys.

I have the GBS due tomorrow AM, as well as the same 6 AM interruption to what otherwise would be about nine hours of sleep, so I'm gonna be pounding the caffeine right there with you.

BTW, I don't want to start down the road of posting dozens of "trap" pictures again, but this game worries me. Warriors have been playing better lately, and the second night of a back-to-back is a bitch. Especially when both are on the road. Especially when the other team makes the 1990 Loyola Marymount squad look like the Fratello-era Cavs.

BTW II, were the Fratello-era Cavs the hardest team ever to watch? They were mediocre (which is the true antithesis of good) and verrrrrrry boring. Not to mention that Tyrone Hill, the NBA's All-Time Ugliest Player (Non-Sam Cassell Division), was on those teams.

You kidding? Bron and Mo love playing games like this. Absolutely love it. About 70 possessions, fast breaks galore, no thinking about complicated half-court sets, switching on P&R D or any of the other cumbersome blocking and tackling that accompanies a slow, plodding, defense-minded game.

Just slam it into fourth gear, balls to the wall, and try to outscore the other team. Take the parking boot off the Ferrari. Bron doesn't care if it's the second night of B2B. He'll find a way to get those quads limbered up enough to throw down a few poster dunks tonight.

I don't doubt Bron could score 40 tonight. I just have a feeling it may be on the short end of a 115-112 score.

i think juwan howard has something to say about this

Ty Hill
Georghe Muresan
Keith Closs
Mikki Moore
Tim Kempton
Anyone on the '80s Celtics starting lineup besides Danny Ainge

Juwan looks like Denzel Washington compared to these.

last year the cavs beat these guys on a last 2nd shot by lebron. the difference in this year's game is that golden state will be playing without stephen jackson and the cavs will be playing without sasha pavlovic, wally contract & big ben.

advantage - cavs.

i think lebron goes for 50+ tonite but it will still be close because nobody else will have any energy left to play after last night's game in portland.

speaking of which, for the life of me, i can't understand why it's perfectly ok for the all-powerful nba schedule gods to schedule back-to-backs on the road on the west coast, but can't schedule any home back-to-backs??? i mean are frequent flyer miles really all that important??? i think they could probably save a few bucks by simply giving teams a few home back-to-backs every once in awhile.

Apparently the Cavs will be returning to the Coliseum after this road trip. It's all about the orange and blue unis now.

Might have to deal with some snow and weeds out in Richfield.

Has any Don Nelson team ever played defense?

Nope. He's an offensive "mastermind" of the keep shooting threes

If I were Monta, I sure as hell wouldn't care about that team and just try to put up big numbers to get traded somewhere. Or get my coach fired. Or preferably both.

No doubt.

It's just hard and awesome to watch at times. So frustrating but so impressive it hurts. Wait I just summed up GS' season.

Varejao just continues to impress.

On the second night of a back to back, against a team that runs like rabbits you need the human 5 Hour Energy shot. And not only is he his usual, annoying, disruptive self on the defensive end but he's got ya 15 and 9 right now with 2 blocks.

Like it or not, he's the pulse of this team. The tempo and focus are better when AV is on the floor.

It can't get any more obvious.

I believe his over/under is the best in the league, right? :hic:
