Cavs Kings - meet Reke C-town

Unread postby e0y2e3 » Wed Dec 23, 2009 7:34 pm

My man, the center of my fantasy team for the next five years, tyreke evans is welcoming to sac-town and ill be lucky to land and get to y-town by tipoff (phone posted from Boston airport while boozing).

Reke is one of a select few players in the league averaging 20 5 and 5 (wade, lbj, joe) and he is twenty. He is already a legit defender and may be a backcourt version of lbj.

IOW: i love him, enjoy tonights glimpse

*sadly my c-town trip was cancelled do to a flight change peeks, will be in y-town all vacation

Tyreke Evans is pretty good at basketball. The sun is also pretty hot.

Here's hoping that Parker and Redz can get physical on him and throw the rookie into a stereotypically inexperienced performance.

Cavs should and need to win this one, get some momentum for LA on Xmas. Thanks largely to 'Reke, this one is not at all an open-and-shut case. Sacto has all the steam in the world after de-pantsing the Bulls the other night (don't know if they played between then and tonight, but don't think so) so they'll still be riding high. If they look past this squad and their young stud, concentrating on LA and the task ahead instead of the one at hand, it'll be a disappointing night.

Looking like the Cavs are looking past the Kings. They look like a trapped team at present. Kings are going right at the bucket, scoring, Tyreke is producing, it's not so good. Need a great defensive run to take the fight out of these guys.

FTR: Reke is a second half player and Casspi is always solid.

I called this Kings team out as my league pass sleeper team before the year and they have been awesome to watch thus far. Just a fun team (granted they don't really play any D).

Haven't seen any of the game thus far though, just got back to the Ohio.

If we decide to play some defense we'll win this one pretty easily; because the Kings won't.

Not happy about missing most of tonights action. Pulling Phoenix up on the League Pass broadband now. The longer I can go w/out listening to Austin Carr the better

Yeah, little bit of firepower on the floor for that one, eh?

Cavs need some D hardcore. Varejao's shot to end the 3rd was fun.

We need better plays for the last 2:00 than LeIso leading to 18+ foot defended jumpers by LBJ.

Overtime shutout. Beautiful. Can we not play defense like that for the last 5:00 of the 4th instead of saving it for the OT? Exempted from this: LeBron. He gave Evans a lesson in what it means to be an NBA superstar tonight.

Z's trifecta: absolutely unexpected, flukish and beautiful. I would much prefer that they had never been needed, and we just iced the thing in regulation.

That said, here's hoping that the gork of Z's Larry Bird imitation gives this team enough sauce for their Christmas showdown. They looked past this Sacto team, and were lucky to escape with the win. They almost got caught in the trap, but luckily LeBron willed them out of it, they snapped back to attention on D, and Z pulled back the jaws of defeat in the most unlikely manner.

I also hereby advance a motion to begin a comprehensive letter-writing campaign to Mike Brown to make the "Z3" an official part of our late-game strategy. It is better, in my opinion, than LeBron hoisting hand-in-the-face-one-foot-inside-the-arc jumpers out of isolation sets.

bring on the lakers. the one true king just slew a bunch of pretenders with a little help from his band of merry men. 13-0 in overtime??? z with 3 straight treys to end the game??? bron with a triple-double while playing outstanding defense on evans in crunch time??? so now it's on to the lake show where i understand kobe might have a bit of a gimpy knee. boo-hoo!!! all i want for christmas is a cavalier win!!! we can only hope. go cavs!!!

How quickly people forget Z hitting that three against Phoenix five years ago to send the game to overtimes.

Funny enough right now LeBron isn't even whispered in the running for DPOY, Josh Smith and Ron Artest right now appear to be among the leading candidates in teh early season.

While they both deserve recognition I find it hard to believe either are more deserving right now than LeBron and/or Howard.

I will never forget that. Cavs were down 20+ in the 4th and Z tied the game in regulation with the 3. Of course the Cavs went on to win in OT.
