I read all this on the subway ride home and was sure someone would have already posted it here.

Honestly, I read nothing into it, but that is some weird ass gamesmanship from D-Wade.

Proud no one has melted about it yet though. I think we may have beat a lot of the stupid out of this forum.

I just want to shake the !@$# out of Wade and yell, "STOP THAT. STOP INCITING PEOPLE"

Really. Lebron isn't going to the lameass weak sauce Heat team. So unless you're coming up here, just stop it.

Does anyone here actually think Lebron is going to resign with Cleveland? To me it's like that old saying, "innocent until proven guilty" but instead it's "he gone until proven otherwise".

And every time you post it you are ripping someone else.

I love it.

At least I get to enjoy it then.

Yeah, the Wharf image is getting played out but it's the one saved in my folder so easy access trumps all. Plus there's no emoticon for choking a bitch out

Saves me from typing a 40 paragraph tirade about the panic of LBJ/'10 and the booyahs hating all things Cleveland, Inbred fans and Mayo commercials.

I don't know where I should be anymore e0y2e3.

All the destinations look the same and I've seen 'em all. Picking and choosing my man, picking and choosing. Sometimes that means finding a nest and scoping out the easy targets and sometimes it means not pulling the trigger because one dead poster looks a lot like the last one.

You in town yet?

Maybe a beer or two at the Melt while you're here? Lemme know.

It doesn't matter what we think. It really, really doesn't.

I don't understand why anyone frets for a minute about whether or not LeBron is going to stay next season. Life is stressful enough without worrying about something that a.) hasn't happened yet and b.) you have absolutely no control over.

I'm sorry. Just my opinion. I hope he stays obviously but, I'm not going to hold my breath over it. If he stays he will cement himself as THE King forever around here. If he leaves he's going to be public enemy number 1 though. It will be an interesting off season to say the least.

I'm serious though, how many people here actually expect that he'll resign with Cleveland and how many think he's gone? I'm interested in seeing the consensus around here.

You're totally right. I'm still watching all the games and not really thinking about it to much. My dad is having a hard time even watching this season because he's so convinced that Lebron is leaving that he can't even enjoy himself! I keep telling him that if he thinks LBJ is leaving then that's even more of a reason to put your heart into this team this year because this is the last shot of a championship then lol.

Seems to me the general consensus is a mix of: "LeBron is so staying. We can offer the most money, Gilbert is willing to spend to win championships, you don't need a big market in today's mega-media world to be a superstar, and the Knicks/Nets suck," and "LeBron is gone, but who cares? It's just another notch in the rifle-stock of the unfailing assassin that is The Cleveland Experience."

I'm still in the first camp.

I really don't think where he plays next year will be about the money. He makes all that money from endosrements and stuff and because of the cap no team is going to pay him much more then any other. I think it just comes down to where he wants to be. I hope that's Cleveland still.

I want to get back on topic if that's ok.:) I really don't see it happening. I do find it intriguing though. But, let's say it did happen. Then the question would be, can they play together? If you go back to Melo playing with AI, there was concern that there wouldn't be enough shots for both of them. And we see how that turned out. But, Wade and LeBron are different type of players. They are both unselfish. They look to their teamates. So, i don't see that being an issue. Again, i don't see it happening. But, it would be fun to watch.

Cha-ching, D-Skills.

Sure, you can say that LeBron has all the money in the world and makes more off the court than on it, but the thing to remember is that in the unspoken conversation of men with other men, especially men of means, authority and power, money equals worth. Everybody (including LeBron) likes to say they'd be the guy to take a pay cut just to be on a winner, but very few are really willing to do it, because they still know that in that unspoken guy code, they have admitted inferiority to peers making more money. Especially to the guy who they take the pay cut to join. LeBron, in going to Miami, would be admitting in guy-code "I am announcing my inferiority to Dwayne Wade by taking less money than I am able to make in order to play with him, on the team that he already controls." In a league of ultimate Alpha males like the NBA, I just don't see this happening. Only way they get together is on equal, maximum pay. I don't know how that would work salary-cap wise. It might even have to happen on a team other than the Cavs and Heat, so neither of them has to admit they came to the other's team. It's all in the Alpha male's character, which is an uncompromising one, and this character aspect, along with the monetary validation that is inextricably tied to it, will end up making this decision.
