Bad Rumor

Please, help me kill a rumor someone at work just asked me....Eric Snow and Drew Gooden for Stephon Marbury. Has anyone eles even heard of this rumor? Or is this guy talking out his ass?

I'm not sure why this is so bad of a deal. Regardless of your opinion upon Marbury, he's still an All-Star PG that commands the attention of the other team.

I don't think that Marbury would become a "ball-hog" like he has been labeled with LEBron around. I think he'd be more than grateful to be traded out of the hell that is the NY Knicks.

Now, if that injured shoulder isn't healed, and won't be 100% by the end of the season, then no chance.

Just don't like the idea of a "cancer" type personality entering this locker room. Most of the time, a player does not clean up his act. He could not co-exist with Garnett, why would he be able to with LeBron? And it leave us unbelievably thin in the post.

Stephon is just what the Cavs need, a true point guard that will scare other teams. Snow shouldnt even be in the league anymore.

Lebron would set Stephon straight from day 1

Marbury is a cancer that has been on losing teams his entire career. After 10-11 years, it stops being a coincidence in my view.

That said, the prospects of getting a PG that talented for just Snow, and Gooden is tempting.

But it would never happen. It would leave the Cavs way too thin in the frontcourt. The Cavs are just now starting to play good team defense, and dealing Snow (a very good defender) for Cancerbury would set us back two months.

Plus, the Cavs will likley be able to get a good return on Gooden this off-season in a sign and trade.

rumor is Isiah rejected the offer and has asked for Mike Wilks and Ira Newble's face abscess in return for Marbury.
