yeah...the Wiz just threw a serious wrench into things. With what, 7 games to go and a 2 game lead on LAL...the next few games are *HUGE* for us because we have to play ORL and SA.

Nonsense. You act like this was some kind of turning point. The fact is, short of going on a massive losing streak (which will only happen with several catastrophic injuries in the next game or two) (knock wood), even if the Cavs got home court they'd still need to -- or should be able to -- win some playoff games on the road. Championship teams figure out a way to do that and the Cavs will be no different, home court or no home court.
Bad game. Shake it off and let's get ready for the Magic.

Lakers at Portland. Lakers on the second night of a back to back.

The home team has won the previous 3 games this year plus Portland is fighting for playoff positioning. Here's hoping the home team trend continues tonight

Kobe Bryant didn't meet with reporters until a full hour after Thursday's game in order to receive "maintenance work" on his sore right knee.
Bryant looked good last night despite wearing a protective sleeve over his right knee, so this is just an FYI. Bryant had surgery on the knee in 2006, hyperextended it in the preseason and has had bouts with tendinitis, but isn't expected to miss any games.

The Lakers have lost 7 straight at the Rose Garden, going back to 2005. It's the last good chance we have of the Lakers dropping another game. Everything points towards them losing, but I still expect them to man up and win it with home court on the line.
If they do lose and we can knock off Philly, that gives us the opportunity to win 2 of 3 to secure home court for the entire playoffs.

AND the Lakers only have two games to play - so the Cavs would have to lose two out of the last three games just to give the Lakers a chance to tie the Cavs record by winning out themselves.
Best record and home court is in the Cavs' hands. Add to that the Celtics now likely getting the 2 seed (meaning Orlando would have to go through Boston just to get to us in the second round) and Bynum's lack of conditioning being exposed tonight ... adds up to an awesome weekend to wrap up the regular season.
On to Boston this Sunday, eh?!

I would love to see the collective psyche of the Lakers fans if they lose to Utah (#8 seed in the West).
If you look at the playoff matchups right now here are the potential roads for Cleveland and LA (if all the top seeds win)
Cleveland vs Detroit
Cleveland vs Atlanta/Miami
Cleveland vs Orlando/Boston
Lakers vs Utah
Lakers vs Portland/San Antonio
Lakers vs Denver/Houston
This could get very entertaining coming down the stretch into the playoffs.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread since I started it. It's been a lot of fun checking in and seeing what my fellow fans have had to say. Let's win 1 more and take this thing all the way to a championship.
