http://blog.dispatch.com/cbj/2008/12/br ... gery.shtmlBlue Jackets center Derick Brassard will likely have season-ending shoulder surgery, The Dispatch has learned. The recovery will be four to six months.
Brassard dislocated his right shoulder on Thursday at the start of a fight with Dallas Stars forward James Neal. After an MRI this morning, Brassard's injury was described to me by a source as a "substantial injury."
Brutal.
They've always been thin down the middle and now, they're even worse off. Unless Howson can pull a big deal to get a decent centerman, it's going to be even more of an uphill climb to make the playoffs.
A God Damn dead man would understand that if a minor league bus in any city took a real sharp right turn, a Zack McCalister would likely fall out. - Lead Pipe
