A buddy of mine killed a turkey a few weeks back. Nice 22lb bird.

That's going in the deep fryer with mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, etc.

And obviously when you do a wild turkey you go with Wild Turkey as complement.

Mmmm..... Yuengling. Good stuff.

Love me some Wild Turkey (both kinds), get my Buckeye tumbler, 4 large ice cubes and give them a bath in glorious Bourbon Whiskey.

And Dem, props on the German Potato Salad, one of my favorites, that and German Sour Beans.

Erie .... we gotta get together and party man. You sound like a riot. Try and make it up to one of our tailgates.

I'll bring the beer though. ;-) ;)

I put 6 pounds of frozen/naked IGA wings in the oven with Honey BBQ sauce and am letting them bake all day. Should be able to put one in your mouth and just slide the bone out when they're done. After 6 hours in the oven wings get really, really tender.

Then, I took about 10 Italian Sausages and threw them in the crock w/ a mixture of tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, stewed tomatoes, mushrooms, green peppers, italian seasoning, onion, and garlic. This is an experiment. It's smelling quite good.

I'll take those up to mom and dads (who literally live right up the alley) where they'll have the usual assortment of corn on the cob, baked beans, mac salad, pot salad, and a red, white, and blue cake. They have an enclosed patio, and an outdoor patio w/ pool and hottub and you can see the cities fireworks from there. Also there is a park across the street for bocci and cornhole.

Good times, good times.........................

I'll go down the store shortly for a micro. Prolly Sams since it's a patriotic day :)
