Anyhoozle, the beer was good, not great. Its comparable with Ommegang Rare Vos which is one of my favorites. The Ommegang is similar in texture (smooth and near creamy) and initial taste but the Grassroots is too bitter at the end- too much lemon and coriander - and leaves a slightly bitter/tangy aftertaste.
Overall 6.5/10.
for reference:
ESB moondog 8/10
Christmas ale 8.5/10
Ice-cold draft dortmunder 9/10.
Final question: why cant Great Lakes make a cheap, lite beer that you can drink all night, like a good version of iron city or PBR. These Great Lakes generally knock me on my a*** after 3-4. Therefore if I know I'll be out for several hours I'll stay away from Great Lakes and drink piss like PBR for marathon nights. But I'd rather give my money to Great Lakes rather than Bud or Miller (now owned by europeans).

If you like IPA's get rid of that Holy Moses crap and have him bring ya some Commodore Perry.
Speaking of deliveries, if anyone is driving out to Colorado anytime I will pay a deliver fee

I've been meaning to try Commodore Perry for a bit now, so I'll go with that one. Is that a 4-pack or 6-pack?

Six packs. Which is decieving.
Drinking a six of the Commodore in one night is a bold move. If you're outside, cooking out, over maybe 5 hours ... no biggie. Sit down and try and drink a six of it during a Cavs game?
Good night Irene.

I won't be running to the brewery to try either one of those.
I liked Locktender when they used to brew it.
A Great Lakes Brew is about equal to 2 light beers. People complain about the cost, but a sixer is cheaper then a 12 pack of bud light.

Not to mention, if I were polishing off 6-7 Bud Lights a night, I'd have to hear all the alcoholic taunts from my wife.
But 3 Great Lakes beers? I'm just thirsty.

Went to my favorite local place to buy beer (Warehouse Beverage) and bought a single just to see if I liked it. I'll get the six pack or four pack for the weekend and cancel all other plans. It's that good.

And you didn't misspell a single word. Very impressive, sir!
