Girl Scout Cookies...

Unread postby Ziner » Sun Mar 01, 2009 11:18 pm

are delicious. Just bought some Samoa's the (coconut/carmel/chocolate ones) they are so damn delicious. However, I can not believe they charge $4 for 15 cookies. Someone should investigate the Girl Scouts for Child Labor issues. I bet those little girls get a Quarter a box to their troop or something.

Oh well, they are still damn good cookies. Whats your favorite?

Obviously Samoa's are mine along with Thin Mints that have been frozen and the Shortbread ones with a little canned chocolate frosting spread on them. Yes I do realize how bad that is for me.

Tagalongs. Been my favorite for 20 years.

Many the nights I've come home from a night out, couple pops, stood there in the kitchen and ate half a box standing up before I even took my shoes off.

Yeah, I freeze them. When Gustav rolled thorough here this Hurricane season and the power went out for the week the wife and I pulled the last gallon of milk and polished off the last box of frozen thin mints before they defrosted. :thumb up:

Anyone else feel like a dick when you tell those little girls "no" as you walk through the grocery store? Fuck them and their "I'm -so-cute-buy-my-overpriced-cookies-guilt-trip-bullshit".

I freeze the Tagalongs. Love me some peanut butter and chocolate.

There was an article last week talking about the sales of the cookies falling 16% in NE Ohio compared to last year, not sure how or why as almost every store I have visited in the past week has someone camped out. I have even seen children walking in the Great Lakes Mall to peddle their goods. The prices for the cookies are ludicrous.

IMO, The taste has really suffered over the past couple of years with them changing and deleting ingredients and are just not the same anymore, but samoa's were always my fave

Ditto. Exact same preference. Not really a fan of anything mint, then my wife showed me the frozen Thin Mint trick. Blew my mind! :dingle:

Shortbread and frozen Thin Mints.

I'll always remember walking to the campus library and seeing a flock of those evil little junior capitalists on the steps

I actually multiplied, even with out a calculator, there are 3 partitions with 5 cookies each.

Thin Mints in a landslide. Not a fan of coconut so I stay away from the Samoas. They only have 15? Thin Mints must be a steal with their 2 sleeves each with like 30 cookies.
